Porter Roofing redid our roof two years ago. They were efficient, and easy to work with. Recently, with all the rain, we had some water dripping down through the top of a first floor window. Usually, this would mean a roof leak, so we called Porter to come out and fix it. First go, the guys were nice, but didn't get it fixed. Fast forward two weeks to more rain and more dripping. This time the owner himself comes out with his guys. He quickly identifies that it's not the roof, it's the seal around a different window on the second floor that's allowing the water in. They do a water test to confirm it, and then caulk and seal it for us. Thanks for the great service, guys! We sure appreciate it!

The repair was done well and on schedule. This was the 2nd time I used Porter the first was to resurface a patio roof that was leaking. The 2nd time was to fix a roof leak that was dripping onto the garage ceiling. Issue was poor workmanship from the builder not installing flashing simply filling in an area with roofing tar. The fix required more work than I expected and actually expected Porter to come back stating the cost increased. They did not. I paid what I was quoted. Very pleased with both service calls.

Crew was very good, they cleaned up and were careful not to drop nails or other debris potentially harmful to my horse. The supervisor JR was responsive and helpful. Unfortunately, shortly after installation, the foam roof developed a myriad of cracks and needed to be fully replaced, due to a defect in the manufacturer's product that was sprayed on. Porter Roofing promptly sent out an inspector, and agreed to replace the roof at no cost to us. Only inconvenience was having to go through the noise and mess again, but JR did his best to minimize that.

Crew did a really nice job working across sections of the roof and cleaning up as they went. Really good attention to the details around the flashings

From the start, Porter Roofing was very responsive and explained everything in detail.  JR, the main rep I worked with, has been in the roofing industry for over 20 years and knows it all.  He made sure I was happy with the work that was completed and did not cut any corners.  They were very respectful of the neighbors and any mess that was created.  When they were done with their work it didn't even look like they were working on the roof--they left it that clean!  Dennis Porter, the owner, was also very personable and explained how the insurance coverage and payments would work.  He was awesome!  Now I have a beautiful, hail-free roof. I highly recommend Porter Roofing.

Overall the job was done well, but the installers were not very professional.  First thing they did was camp out on the front lawn with latin music blaring, disturbing my neighbors.  This was really the only negative thing.

We had storm damage covered by insurance. The insurance adjuster came out and gave us an evaluation. We called Porter Roofing based on other work we had done about 2 years ago. Sure enough, same as the previous time we hired them, they went up, inspected the roof and came back with the exact same report as the inspector without knowing that anyone had inspected it. Sounds pretty simple but you'd be surprised how unusual this honesty is in the roofing business where most homeowners cannot go up on the roof to check things out for themselves.
About 2 years ago, we realized our dad's house was leaking because of water stains on the ceiling. We called 3 roofing companies. Two of them had exorbitant quotes - one said the whole roof had to be replaced and the other said that just half the roof had to be replaced. Porter said there were cracked tiles and flashing issues but that the underlayment for the roof was really good 40lb felt and that it was still just fine despite the age of the roof. We had them do the work 2 years ago for about $600 which included replacing missing and/or cracked roof tiles with new ones (matching the color by swapping tiles from less visible locations for the new tiles), repairing felt as needed, installing 3 new covers for existing roof pipes where they were missing, sealing down the metal flashing on all pipes and painting a few unpainted pipes to match the roof color & cleaning up all debris and hauling it away.
Over the past two years and two experiences with they we found them to be scrupulously honest and competent -- a rare combination!

Crew was courteous and efficient. Price was very favorable. Since it has not rained much since the repair, I cannot comment on how effective the repair was. Fingers crossed.
