My Buyer used Peoples Mortgage as her lender and they were absolutly horrible! They missed the closing date by a week. My poor buyer at the last minute had to pay off additional debt to qualify and come in with additional money to close. They completely inconveinced both my buyer and my self. No consideration given to her circumstances or mine. Even with management involved they still could not make any committment or speed up the the process. I would never recommend anyone to use this company. They only care about what money they are making and could care less about there own customers! How horrible is that.... really pathetic.

Our experience was awful ? we advise not to use them. Shannon was our contact. Our closing date was supposed to be on a Friday, it didn?t happen until 10 days later. We had expenses for hotel (9 nights), meals out, and a $50 a day penalty that had to be paid to the sellers. None of this was planned. We estimate the extra cost to us was approximately $1,000. The day by day delay was very stressful. A happy occasion was turned into a not so happy event. Instead of having a feeling of joy when we got the keys it was one of relief. How much of the delay was Shannon and how much was the company we will never know. Since Shannon represented the company, we are giving the company this failing rating.

We were referred to Andie at People's Mortgage by our real estate agent. At first everything seemed to go great. But that quickly changed. We got our preapproval and started house hunting. We found a house a month later and put in an offer that was accepted. We met with Andie and finalized our application and went over all the paperwork at the beginning of February. We didn't hear from her again until the end of the month (3 weeks) telling us that we no longer qualified. During this time she cashed the check for the appraisal. She then told us she used a credit simulator and could get us qualified if we paid down some of our debt. We did everything she said. This went on for another month and a half. We passed our close date and were granted an extension. We asked for a denial letter, but she assured us that she could get it closed so we stuck it out. The second close date approached and she ensured us she could get it closed. We asked for a denial letter again. It wasn't given to us because she could "get it done". NOPE. It didn't happen. And now we are out our earnest money, appraisal fee, and home inspection fees (over $1800) because she wasn't able to give us a straight answer. If she had given us a straight answer, we would not have performed the appraisal and we would have had a denial letter to get our e.m. returned. During the time that we were working with her it was extremely difficult to get a hold of her and get a straight answer about anything. Communication was not her strong point.
