Home Depot quoted me on a job that consists of 61 Sq Feet. I am required, and agree, to provide 20% tile above that for cutting and breakage, but they also charged me for taking up 74 sq feet of linoleum, when it should have been 61 square feet and
for installing 74 square feet of tile. When I questioned that, the woman told me I had to pay for 74 because that's what I bought. I told her I could have bought 1,000 sq feet of tile, but they would still only be installing 61 sq Feet and removing 61 sq feet of linoleum. Her reasoning was and quot;they have to cut and fit those extra tilesand quot; ??? That's what their labor cost is for and they are not cutting and fitting extra linoleum, so that makes no sense. The difference came out to over $230.00, mainly because they are also charging me for delivering items which I would be picking up myself. Really a poor company with which to do business. I declined and will not use them at all.

They did a real good job, and they did it fast. They were on time also. One guy came and did it. Home Depot had contracted a contractor to do the work. The price was a little high, but it was lower than other bids that I got. In the end I felt I could have done it cheaper without going through Home Depot. The workmanship was outstanding. They were on time all the time. He told me when they would get done, and I got it done exactly on that day. I had it done at another house, not on my house. I met his boss, who came to to do the final check, and I liked the way they handled themselves. Home Depot gets a cut from them as well, and the installer gave me a few tips on how to do it the next time.

My kitchen was in need of a major 'rehab' - house was built around '93 and had the original cabinets and appliances. After checking with a number of companies for the cabinet refacing/restoration part of my kitchen redo, I finally selected Home Depot. The primary reasons were: price, cabinet selection, their timeline and my history with them. I've had very positive experiences with this same store with installation of my garage entrance door, a new water heater, kitchen counter top, carpeting, floor tile (all likewise very positive experiences).
After I selected the cabinet style, color and hardware (door handles), they took careful measurements. There was a waiting period of a few weeks, which I didn't mind. The most impressive part of my experience was with the installer, especially with respect to his expertise as well as to how quickly he did his work. When I received the call for setting up the days/times for the installer to come over, I asked if it could be done over the weekend. He said he'd see what he could do, and he called back after checking with his installation person saying it could be done the upcoming Friday, Saturday and finish up on Sunday!! Everything went very smoothly, and I especially appreciated that he put up the giant plastic sheet to block the dust from going into other rooms. He even removed an old, non-working microwave that I was going to replace anyway (that way, he could reface the surfaces inside the box that the new microwave would insert into). He was very patient with my questions, and showed me how to use the little applicator that you dap on a cabinet surface when you get a scratch.
A couple of the impressive things about Home Depot is that you receive a follow-up phone call from Home Depot with a short satisfaction survey about the work just completed, and the contractors and workers that come into your home have to go through screening.This store has never let me down, and I highly recommend it for all your home repair needs.

I will never buy another fan from Home Depot.

THEY WERE PRICED GREAT AND PROVED TO BE A GREAT EXPERIENCE. WE WERE GOING TO MIX AND POUR OUR OWN BASE, BUT WHEN WE FOUND OUT HOW CHEAPLY IT COULD BE DONE FOR US, ADDING IN THE TIME FACTOR - A DAY'S WORK VS. 45 MINUTES, IT WAS THE ONLY WAY TO GO.

THEY CAME ON TIME AND FINISHED FASTER THAN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. JOB WAS WELL DONE, THEY CLEANED UP WELL AFTER INSTALL, DID NOT CHARGE TO TAKE OLD CARPET LIKE MANY OTHER COMPANIES DO.
