I think we had it under warranty and it was a first time service so it was free. They were efficient and made sure everything was correct. I was impressed with the workers that came out and they cleaned up after themselves.
They contact me and let me if any services need to be done. The cost was quite a bit. I have two air conditioning units.
for installing 74 square feet of tile. When I questioned that, the woman told me I had to pay for 74 because that's what I bought. I told her I could have bought 1,000 sq feet of tile, but they would still only be installing 61 sq Feet and removing 61 sq feet of linoleum. Her reasoning was and quot;they have to cut and fit those extra tilesand quot; ??? That's what their labor cost is for and they are not cutting and fitting extra linoleum, so that makes no sense. The difference came out to over $230.00, mainly because they are also charging me for delivering items which I would be picking up myself. Really a poor company with which to do business. I declined and will not use them at all.
After I selected the cabinet style, color and hardware (door handles), they took careful measurements. There was a waiting period of a few weeks, which I didn't mind. The most impressive part of my experience was with the installer, especially with respect to his expertise as well as to how quickly he did his work. When I received the call for setting up the days/times for the installer to come over, I asked if it could be done over the weekend. He said he'd see what he could do, and he called back after checking with his installation person saying it could be done the upcoming Friday, Saturday and finish up on Sunday!! Everything went very smoothly, and I especially appreciated that he put up the giant plastic sheet to block the dust from going into other rooms. He even removed an old, non-working microwave that I was going to replace anyway (that way, he could reface the surfaces inside the box that the new microwave would insert into). He was very patient with my questions, and showed me how to use the little applicator that you dap on a cabinet surface when you get a scratch.
A couple of the impressive things about Home Depot is that you receive a follow-up phone call from Home Depot with a short satisfaction survey about the work just completed, and the contractors and workers that come into your home have to go through screening.This store has never let me down, and I highly recommend it for all your home repair needs.
