I had been searching AngiesList for about 3 months for a painter and had gotten several quotes that to be quite honest I felt were extremely high, Then a friend recommended Featherman Painting. John came out i
n mid Sept. and quoted the job. We had family coming to visit in late Sept. and because of John's commitments could't start prior to their arrival but once they had left John was right on it.He arrived about 15 minutes early which was just fine and got right to work. He taped and masked areas off which to be quite honest I've had other so called painters who didn't do that and it showed. I have a mobility disability and John moved a lot of furniture and stuff I couldn't do prior to his arrival. He is a steady professional painter who appears can tackle any painting job and completed everything above in one full day. Anyother painter I have hired would have taken 2-3 days to complete and not have done as good a job. Because of John's craftsmanship and care he is now our families painter for life. Also I don't believe AngiesList shows he is licyensed bonded and insured, but he is which is important to me.
He also keeps things clean and tiidy throughout the duration of the job. The big PLUS was when my wife got home from work she was so excited with the results. If Mamas happy you can't ask for a better recommendation than that. Thanks so much John. Now I can move on to the next project with the help of AngiesList.

Overall quality would rate a B except that they left paint spots on the carpet throughout my entire house. Literally every corner in the house had paint spots, and somehow there were paint spots out in the middle of the floor which appeared to be from a color of paint which was not even used in my house. I think most of the paint spots resulted from edging work in which no drop cloth was used (I wasn't there the whole time, so don't know exactly what happened). I suspect some of the off-color spots may have been accumulated paint from previous jobs "oozing" off of their ladders. The vast majority of the spots showed no sign of ANY attempt to clean them up. Phone calls after the job went unanswered. I should have sued them for damages.

"This review was made in 2010 relating to a job performed in 2008. I have checked and double checked my records from 2008 to 2010 for both the name and address indicated on this review and could find no records of either (nor any memory of a dissatisfied client). None-the-less, I have build a strong and steady referral client base by providing both exceptional quality of workmanship and service. In my experience if paint spots exist on carpet, ceilings, frames or baseboards from a color not currently being used, it is customarily remnants of dried paint from a previous paint job. I have always had a reputation for standing behind my work and always will."
