Auto Service
I visited Arizona auto air about six weeks prior to the service for an estimate. I received an estimate of over $550 based on needing to replace a hose and engine mounts in my 2007 PT cruiser. I had an estimate from one of the national auto repair chains that I had me going to for a number of years of a breaking hundred dollars. When I took the car in for the estimate everybody was very friendly and make sure I understood everything that they were doing and the reason for their estimate. I was not pressured to have the work done and was told that if I decided to have the work done there they would be very happy at me as a customer. I went back about six weeks after the assessment to have the work done. I dropped the car off the gave me a ride home and picked me back up the car was done within the amount of time they told me would be finished and four $100 less. They told me when they got into the air-conditioning hose they found out it was a simple O-ring rather than hose itself. They replaced the engine mounts and when I drove the car off of the lot there was a significance difference in a way that ran and I had ice cold air-conditioning. A week later I took in my 2007 Dodge ram 1500 mega cab for will drive to have the air conditioner recharged. Again very friendly wanted to make sure that I understood everything they were doing what they found and had to work done for about $150. I received a one-year nationwide warranty on all the mechanical work and would highly recommend this company. I'm now I repeat customer and couldn't be happier. This is a family-owned very professional and ethical company.

Auto Service
AZ Auto Air pulled my car around back and apparently looked at it for a few minutes. Then the service guy came out and told me I needed a new compressor, new hoses, new refrigerant, etc. Total estimate just under $1000.
I was skeptical, so I took it to another service station. The guy looked at it, said it looked to him like my compressor had already been replaced (it had), and that he couldn't see any immediate leak. He drained the system, filled it with refrigerant, added dye, and told me to drive it for a few days, after which he would see if he could find where there might be a leak. Total cost about $125.
I brought it back a few days later -- running cold -- no problems with the AC. He inspected it, and couldn't find a leak -- said that it might just be a very small one, and might require adding new refrigerant once a year or something. Couldn't see any damage to the hoses either.
Anyway, it's been a couple weeks -- AC is still running cold, the compressor is fine.
So much for the AZ Auto Air "free" quote. Buyer beware.

Response from azautoair
"[Member name removed], The estimate we gave you was for a compressor, not a condenser. We still stand by our quote, it will be a matter of time before your system leaks out. Topping off your system is a temporary fix and not a solution to your problem as time will tell. We would be more than happy to show you exactly where the leaks are when your freon leaks out again. We see no need to take your $100 when we know it will not last."

He was relatively cheap comparatively to the dealer. He was honest and upfront. He took great care of my car.
