While on the phone waiting for the part availability, he actually dosed off. After 20-30 minutes on the phone, he said that the part was no longer available. He suggested that we needed a new fridge. I said no way, we would find a way to get around this. After a bit, he seemed to wake up and actually started conversing. He went back to the fridge door and examined the gasket, finding that it was out of place on the hinge side. He pulled it back in place and added some silicon grease to keep it from binding again. It worked perfectly. NO repair part needed!!!!! He then became really friendly and discussed our pet and was a completely different person from when he arrived. I have no idea what had been wrong with him. He charged $75 for the hour he had been here. I paid it, but he should have found the real problem quickly and been gone in half the time. Maybe we just caught him on a bad day.
"The microwave was going to cost to much to repair, so I offered the member a new microwave aka, at cost. This is a $200.00 difference in cost of repair. I refunded cost of deposit to repair old microwave and offered to return microwave to him(the member). What am I going to do with a broken microwave, I held off getting rid of microwave for six months. I felt no matter what I did I would not make the member happy, Steve Grant Grants Appliance."
