Minor mix-up with part needed, which delayed repair, but all's well that ends well.

The serviceman was professional and didn't make us feel silly when he examined the refrigerator and advised us to pull it out more often to check for items that may have fallen behind it.  That was what was causing the noises.  He replaced the bulb and gave us the knowledge we needed to do it ourselves in the future.  We weren't even in his normal territory, he made a special trip to our house on the other side of town.

First he had to determine that the motor was actually broken.  He ordered a new motor "kit", which arrived with missing pieces.  He, then, had to order the missing pieces separately.  When they arrived, there was still one missing piece, which he was able to obtain from Ace Hardware.  After about 3 visits and a lot of anguish on his part, he was able to get the compactor working.  Grant did not charge extra for all of the trips and missing pieces.  He was true to his word.  I found him to be competent, professional, and honest.

  The repair man was about 2 hours late and offered no apology or even a comment. He seemed very distracted and non-communicative. After checking the fridge, he started calling for a repair part without telling me what the problem was. I asked and got a brief answer.
While on the phone waiting for the part availability, he actually dosed off. After 20-30 minutes on the phone, he said that the part was no longer available. He suggested that we needed a new fridge. I said no way, we would find a way to get around this. After a bit, he seemed to wake up and actually started conversing. He went back to the fridge door and examined the gasket, finding that it was out of place on the hinge side. He pulled it back in place and added some silicon grease to keep it from binding again. It worked perfectly. NO repair part needed!!!!! He then became really friendly and discussed our pet and was a completely different person from when he arrived. I have no idea what had been wrong with him. He charged $75 for the hour he had been here. I paid it, but he should have found the real problem quickly and been gone in half the time. Maybe we just caught him on a bad day.

Ran late to our appt but called ahead to warn me. - not his fault, there was a wreck on the highway and he was stuck.   So I consider that a wash.  Diagnosed bad ice maker motor - had a replacement on hand which he installed in about 10 minutes. Also checked all the plumbing and hoses to make sure it was working correctly. Cost was $211.90 for everything.  

We made an appointment for the washing machine initially for which he showed up for on time. While he was there, I asked him about the vent hood (Dacor). A part on the control panel had burned out. He ordered the part and returned to install it when it came in. He was prompt and professional, and I will use him again.

Despite our erratic schedules, he managed to get the job done!

Good experience overall. The technician was knowledgeable and professional. They had to order a part so he had to come back. He did forget to turn the ice maker back on, but came a day later and took care of that as well.

Grant's fixed my washer. I called them again to fix my microwave, and this did not work out at all. I m not sure but in over his head. Paid $1300 for a ge product 3 years ago, and Grant said it was no longer anygood and to junk it. Not woorth repairing...he took it and threw it away.I am not going to go into great detail, but I can say I will not use Granls appliance again.

He was able to come same day and fixed our refrigerator. He was very smart and did quick diagnostics to fix the problem. Will definitely use in the future.

I?ve used them for years; they are the best in the area. The price is as good as anyone else's and he guarantees his work for a year.
