I had Donna come in to do a thorough cleaning for a newly purchased, 100% empty house. I told her she did not have to do anything with the floors or carpets as I am having other professionals do carpet cleaning and tile and grout cleaning and sealing.
I wanted the house cleaned and the windows washed (inside and out) and the screens brushed off and the window sliders vacumed out. I found numerous windows that are very smudged (I noticed this the next morning when the sun came up and shined through those windows) the tops of the windows, where the locks are, were not wiped clean, the tops of the light swtiches were not wiped down, there are large bugs in some of the windows in the space where you open the windows. The walls were left dirty where the fridge was, the tops of the cabinets (pot shelves) were not cleaned at all (leaving me, a disabled person, to climb a ladder to do it, or hire someone else to do it) and the hanging light in the dining area was not wiped down.
Donna did a wonderful job in the bathrooms. All of the cabinets in the kitchen were wiped down and the counter tops were also wiped down.  The stove was wiped down.  The top of the exhaust fan is sticky
I would have gladly paid for the extra time it would have taken to wipe down all of the light switches, the light fixtures, the tops of the windows, the pot shelves, vacume the spider webs from the corners in the master bedroom as I am disabled and can not stand for very long. However it seemed that Donna had a two hour mark she was aimming for, then she was out of the door.

Donna and her associate did a fantastic job!  There's just nothing like walking into a freshly cleaned home.  They worked HARD for 2 hours straight.  I feel her fee of $100 for two people for two hours was well worth the money.  She even offered to charge me $90 to put her name on Angie's List.  I told her I would still pay her the $100 and put her name on Angie's List.  Hard workers and fantastic job.  Her company used to be Merry Maids, and she is licensed, bonded, and insured.  I wish I could afford to use her several times a month!
