Chris Rounds and his crew were absolutely fantastic! Due to my fathers medical issues, I needed to find a local contractor who was willing to work with me (I live out of state in Oregon), and be flexible with scheduling the work to be done. Not only was Chris responsive to our requests, he spent a fair amount of time negotiating with the insurance company to make things happen, which was very much appreciated. Due to my limited availability to travel to AZ, Chris scheduled the work right away, and completed the project earlier than originally quoted to allow me to return home on time. Chris and his crew were prompt, professional, provided high quality work, and maintained excellent lines of communication with my dad and I about the process and progress of the project. He visited the site daily to ensure quality and answer any questions we had, while always being available other hours to respond to requests. Suffice it to say, our expectations were far exceeded! A great experience, and would highly recommend his services.

Chris Rounds was very easy to work with. He is always professional and delivers what he says he will. Workmanship is very good and was completed faster than I expected. I have had him do other smaller jobs since and he always does great work. Always helpful and friendly. Couldn't ask for a better contractor.

We completely gutted and renovated our entire house, using several different companies. We were content with the final product, but wanted to add a large fan to the main living room several months after the house was completed. We hired Rounds Construction for the job and of everyone we worked with, they were one of the most professional companies. They arrived at our house exactly when they said they would come. Moved all of our furniture out of the way very carefully. They never complained about crawling 50 feet through our tight attic space to the other side of the house to install the electrical in a very difficult spot. The fan installation is flawless and the price was very reasonable. They left the place cleaner than when they arrived by doing touch up paint on the ceiling and by the light switches, vacuumed, and patiently moved our furniture several times to exactly where we wanted it. I would definitely hire Rounds Construction again and again!

They did a great job of securing our sagging carport with new support beams. They freshly painted the underside and trim of the carport to exact colors we wanted. Our window was an odd size, but they made it fit with wood trim and it looks great!, Our garage roof looks brand new with new paint. They were friendly to work with. They often went above and beyond taking care of things we didn't even ask for but they were willing to do. Would definitely use them again!

Overall, it went great. This was our first remodel and Chris made sure everything ran smoothly. Being an old home, we expected some surprises, but Chris and his team handled every obstacle we encountered (there were a lot!). My wife is very particular and has a very distinct style. Chris was able to take her ideas and a few pictures from Pinterest and transform our rundown, dark old adobe home into a modern, bright and amazing space. Chris does not sub out his work. He has his own guys that are there every day and really care about there work. Big thanks to Josh, Mario, and Edwin. They worked all day, every day, even weekends, to make sure our home was done perfect and on time. I would recommend Rounds Construction to anyone looking for a professional, reliable, talented, and caring contractor for any of your remodeling needs. Best in the valley, period.

Initially, Chris was very friendly and seemed like he would be great to work with. He came out and gave us a very rough bid which we knew would change based on the specs. After much back and forth of planning, waiting on his guys to draw etc. we received a formal bid. Although we are doing a basic garage - the bid came back 20,000 above what we were initially quoted. We were shocked! We asked him to please go over the bid with us because we found that profit was built into every line of the bid as well as a contractors fee. He responded aggressively saying "I'm not here to negotiate! The price is the price!". We were taken aback, and decided to move on. We were really looking forward to working with him so this was disappointing.

It was great working with Chris answered all my questions and took care of any problems. Was great working with. I would and will be doing more business with rounds construction. Thanks for the great garage or " work shop".

We just finished a 7 month whole house remodel with Rounds Construction. We gutted the whole house and started over. This home is a second home, to be our retirement home next year. Chris, his crew, and his subs did a fantastic job. Chris kept in constant contact with us during the process as we live out of state. The finished home is absolutely lovely, and we cannot thank him enough for his ATTENTION to detail. We would use again for any future projects. Scope of work for this remodel were: new windows, garage doors, front door, removed walls, new flooring throughout, cabinets, counters, appliances, new HVAC, adding more electrical, gas line, plumbing, painting interior and exterior, new crown molding, window casing, door casing, baseboards, drapes. Its a new home. Chris has integrity, and stands by his word.

Had already spoken to 8 other contractors. Mr Rounds was the 9th one who came out, and was able to give a me quick quote right away instead of going back to get some numbers to line items before getting back to me. Estimate was fair and Mr Rounds is very responsive and attentive, and bottom line is he listened to what exactly I wanted done, and got it done. Job started on desired date, crew left site clean each day so that I was able to park in the carport, although under construction. Overall experience was very good, no complains. Some friends came by to see the finished job and will be contacting him for some work when the time comes. I highly recommend Rounds Construction. Honest, and to the point. No frills, unless you ask for it. Highly recommend.

Exactly what we wanted for the price he quoted.  Have hired him again and recommended him to other friends who have all been extremely happy with his work, as recently as 2013.

We worked with Chris Rounds on a previous project, building a new 1800 sq. ft. shop on our property. He did such a great job, I knew he'd be the guy to call when we had to tackle some remodeling in our home. The remodel encompassed four separate projects.
1 - Home Theater - We had a very large open multi-purpose room that had a wide open entryway and two large open half-wall cut outs separating it from the rest of the house. We wanted to close the space off to give it more of a private room feel appropriate for a home theater. Chris came up with solutions and designs that made the space look like it was mean to be there instead of an afterthought renovation. We closed off the open wall areas and converted them to decorative cutouts and the wide open entryway was closed off and converted to full glass double French doors. This room also required some special wiring needs including moving junction boxes, adding ceiling fans, wiring for a ceiling-mounted projector, and wiring for a 5.1 speaker setup. I had the vision for what I wanted in a home theater and Chris made it a reality. The room now serves dual purpose as a home theater and a playroom for my son.
2 - Kitchen Upgrades - Our kitchen had an old cumbersome range hood enclosure that took up way too much space and needed to go. Chris replaced it with a beautiful stainless steel model that looks much more modern and fits the space perfectly. He also worked with us to find the perfect backsplash tile. It's easy to be overwhelmed with options and Chris brought numerous samples to the house to make it much easier on us. He has a sense of design and style that really helps since he is able to pre-select options for us based on our general description of what we're looking for. He also added some under-cabinet lighting for additional ambience. The result was perfect!
3 - Office Conversion - We had another open room with a wide entryway and an open half-wall that we wanted converted to a home office. Chris filled in the half wall giving us another decorative recess and put in a nice set of solid double doors. My wife and I both work from home so having solid locking doors was essential and Chris nailed it. 
4 - Bathroom remodel - Our previous setup had a beautiful spa tub located right in the middle of the bathroom. The concept was ok but the execution was clunky and we almost never use the bath. If felt silly to have the showpiece of the bathroom be a tub we never use, while the shower we use every day felt like a small closet in an alcove. We didn't think there was any hope for a remodel there but Chris came up with a great way to move things around that made sense and looked beautiful. The tub was gutted and replaced with a partial tile/partial glass surround and the walk-in shower is now the showpiece of the bathroom. One large window was replaced with smaller more decorative windows that allow for privacy in the shower, but still giving us a nice view. The old shower area was converted into a new soaking tub with additional privacy. He really worked some magic here and the whole space was totally re-imagined without knocking everything down and starting over. 
As always, Chris bends over backwards to make sure we're happy with the end result. A couple weeks after the job was done, I needed to have the light fixtures moved just a few inches in the bathroom to make sure they were centered over the sink. Chris immediately sent out one of his guys to make the change free of charge. 
It isn't easy finding a contractor that you can trust whole-heartedly but Chris has proven himself time and time again to be trustworthy, smart, and fair with his pricing. I have recommended Rounds Construction to friends and family and any time we need something done at the house Chris is the first person I'm calling.

Chris evaluated the project, brought team in the next day to start two day project.  Finished early with remarkable results, arrived as promised.  Team worked professional and great tradesmanship.

We needed our master bath renovated and found Rounds Construction through Angie's List. Chris Rounds was responsive from the first time we called and throughout the job, both by email and cell phone. We had a tight time-frame and Chris worked with us to meet it. Throughout the work, Chris and his workers were punctual, respectful of both people and property, asking questions as needed to ensure they completed the work as we wanted. 
In the middle of the project, we had a water pipe break. Thankfully, Chris's crew was able to repair the pipe break. Although that took time away from the primary job, they worked extra hours each day to complete the project on time. We are very pleased with the completed renovation. Any additional work we need, we will be sure to contact Rounds Construction. We highly recommend Rounds Construction.

Finished in a reasonable time frame and was easy to get a hold of when I had questions or concerns. Chris was very knowledgeable and helpful with his suggestions! Highly recommend his company!!

Chris was honest, personable, and made sure the job was done right! Also, the price was very fair, I do not feel we were over-charged. Easy to contact/get a hold of and returned calls and emails promptly.  I highly recommend.

True to his word he was here.  He found the leak from my air conditioner.  I had just had it tuned up.  He suggested I call the company and have them take a look and if they wouldn't take care of it, he would be back.  He  did not charge me for this and I followed his advise' The work that was needed was completed without any further charges.   
I will call him for any further problems or remodeling I will do.

I called on Sat and left a message regarding an electrical problem.   Chris was on vacation but my call was returned quickly.  He said he would come by on Monday.  He arrived and quickly found my problem.   I had a drip that caused my pool equipment to pop my breaker.  He suggested that I call the ac company that I had tune up my ac.  I am so pleased with this company and I  will use his services if needed in the future

So far so good. Our garage addition project is at the very beginning stages with the foundation now set and the concrete coming this week. To date, Rounds Construction has been accommodating, helpful, respectful, punctual and honest. We picked Rounds based on our gut feeling from our first conversation with the owner Chris. If you don't communicate well on day 1, that doesn't bode well for a big project. Fortunately Chris was easy to talk to listened to my requests and feedback.
Here's a small, yet very telling, example of how Chris works. We needed to separate the construction site from the rest of the yard (big dogs) and I assumed I would be running to Home Depot to pick up the orange plastic webbing and stakes. I mentioned this to Chris and he said not to worry about it because he has a big roll that he can bring at the start of construction. About two weeks later, the construction began. I just knew there was no way he would remember to bring the webbing. Most other contractors probably wouldn't. But sure enough, on day 1 of construction, he had his guys putting up the temporary web fence. Small detail, but awesome.
Another thing worth mentioning is how Chris took care of our irrigation system. The new garage goes over a grassy section of our yard and the new slab would cover several important irrigation lines. I was really concerned about losing water to my plants and grass during the summer. But Chris always made sure that by the end of the day, water was connected and the plants were watered. He now has the irrigation re-routed and running around the slab.
Obviously, the project is still in process and there is a long way to go. But as it stands now, I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised at how reliable Chris is and I think we are going to be very happy with our decision to go with Rounds.

FINAL UPDATE:
The project was a complete success. Chris Rounds was reliable and kept his promises. The promised time-frame was kept, which was 60 days. I added several things to my list which caused delays, yet Chris managed to keep everything on track. This was just a shop build, but if I were building a new house from the ground up, Chris would be the guy I'd call.

Importantly, the roof repair was done immediately with no delays. Upon receipt of necessary materials the balance of the repairs we're done in priority order.. Because we wanted a strong wind resistant structure for our Big Rig and storage, a permit was necessary prior to construction. This was a long waiting period due to the county office procrastination. Because of our traumatic loss, Rounds Construction has reached above and beyond to improve the quality. Very professional on this project. Our overall experience has been a very positive one..
