J & H Microwave & Appliance II

The technician came and looked at the microwave.  He explained to my wife that he had seen this type of problem before and that it was going to cost about $475 to repair.  He then left.  A short time later, the warranty company called to say that the repair would not be covered as the fault seemed to predate the close of escrow (what I suspected also), and said that we could contact J & H if we wanted to go ahead with the repair.  I did so, calling them to say I wanted the repairs done and asking that the cost be confirmed.  They confirmed their pricing at $470 which I agreed to and gave them, at their request, a Visa card number so they could order the parts.  I never heard from them again.  Frankly. I don't think I should have to chase a service provider on a nearly $500 job to beg them to do the work for me.

It took a few visits, but Garrett was exceptionally
tenacious in finding the right root cause of my washer?s malfunction and
correcting it.  He managed to find a
backordered part at a competitor?s business to fix the problem.  He?s committed to quality and customer
service.   The repairs that he performed
were covered under a home warranty, so cost wasn?t an issue in this repair, but
if need repairs in the future for any large appliance at my expense, he will be
the one that I call.

The wine fridge was at J & H for 4 months. They said they could not get the part from Danby would I call the company. I got the part sent to J & H. J& H received the part about 11/10/10. J & H never called me. I fanlly called and went to pick up the fridge 12/2/10. The fridge went to them looking new. It now had dings, scratches and gouges. Garret Munger at J&H said it came in that way. They take no responsibility. What a jerk!
