I called Kevin and told him what was happening. He came over lickety-split and attached a hose to drain water from the heater and stop the leaking. He gave me a thorough rundown on why it was happening and what will probably need to be done.
As a first-time homeowner, I appreciated any information and new knowledge I could gain, since I've never had to deal with this problem before. Also, I appreciated him coming over without any commitment on my part that he would actually be doing the work.
(Kevin is a really nice guy and knows his stuff to boot!)
After talking with my homeowners insurance co. and researching costs, it also turned out that Kevin had quoted me a really good price on the heater and complete install (including hauling away the old one) and warranty. So I had no problem in allowing Avalanche to get this work done.
As usual, the job was done well and I am a happy customer. I have not had a problem with the heater or any other project Kevin has worked on at my house....and this is why I continue to use Avalanche and I would recommend them without hesitation.
