We hit a snag assembling an adult Schwinn Tricycle. We could not transport it to your store so we asked for someone to come out and help us. A fine gentleman came within an hour (as we were told he would on the phone) and helped us get the front brakes working nicely. We had been able to get them to hold, but just not release. He got it smooth. He showed us the brake lock to prevent the bike from moving when parked. He put the seat on properly and showed us how to adjust the height of the seat and explained how high we should allow it to be set safely. He also tightened the main frame bolts on the back of the bike, center the handlebars, adjust the front fender so the tire wouldn't rub. He also tried to adjust the back fenders and gently bent their braces to the frame but couldn't get them to stop rubbing the tires all over. (As he stopped the tire from rubbing on the left edge, it would then begin to rub on the right edge of the rubber.) He said they could be removed and since we'd bought a taillight we agreed and he removed the back fenders. He then suggested we add 50 lbs. pressure to our 3 flat tires. Then he asked if we'd ever ridden a 3-wheeler and as we hadn't, he gave us a quick lesson on how to safely mount the bike, how to stop it safely (and in an unsafe manner) so that we would be less likely to get hurt because of our ignorance. Then he explained how to sit correctly on the seat and how to hold the handlebars correctly so that the bike would remain level and well balanced while we rode. Much of the work he did was new to us and the knowledge he shared will surely make our riding safer and more enjoyable. We deeply appreciate all he did.
