Counterworx

Everything went well, except Corbin didn't finish the job. The microwave isn't completely vented as it should be, and a small frame to fill in a soffitt above the one cupboard isn't installed.  For those reasons I have to give a low rating. I have called repeatedly and Corbin does not return the calls.  Should he complete the job I would be glad to change the ratings.

Corbin came to my house and provided a quote for new kitchen counter tops. He was knowledgeable and personable.  A few weeks later, I called to order my counter tops and my voice mail messages were never returned.  Maybe he just got busy?  

I did the demolition to save cash, and the install went well.Everything looks great.

We had ordered cabinets and a counter top for a bedroom we were converting to an office.  We had bottom cabinets and file cabinets in, and the overhead cabinets as well...and kept getting the run around from the company we bought it from as to delivery date, pricing and measurements (even though they came and measured it themselves---they were trying to make the piece bigger than needed)  Finally after 4 weeks I just decided to look elsewhere and found Counterworx--saw some good reviews---but the most amazing part was Corbins' attentiveness and speedy turn around.  We first contacted him on a Friday---he responded immediately and set up an appointment for measuring onthe next Monday---then came back and installed that very next Friday.  He is friendly and knoweledgeable and I highly recommend and respect him.

We contacted Corbin after waiting over a month for a countertop from Home Depot. (just a straight cut, one piece countertop--no cuts or matching up) We were told on 9/3 by HD that our order would be 4 weeks because it was a special order due to the color---ok--I was willing to "accept" that--then on 9/26 we were advised the countertop cannot even be ordered until the cabinets are installed---which would put it out an additional 4 weeks since they had to measure the custom cabinets after they were installed. Long story short--we called Corbin--he came and measured on Monday 10/20 and installed it on 10/27! Absolutely thrilled with his time frame! Will positively use him again if we need any other work done! 5 stars to you Corbin!!!!

Corbin came out to measure my countertops. He brought over samples for the new countertop selections.

After choosing my selection, he came back in a few weeks as promised. I gave him a key to my house the day before installation because I would be at work.

I came home and my new countertops looked spectacular! What a craftsman he is!

Corbin cleans up great after himself too.

He is an owner/operator, so be patient! He is the guy that comes out to measure and install.

It's been a couple months since my countertops have been in and I get a ton of compliments.

Came out in a timely manner. Spent time to measure etc then said would be 4-5 weeks before it could be installed. I went with someone else and had my countertops in 2 weeks. if you are willing to wait I am sure he'd be fine

Corbin showed us many samples and reviewed pluses and minuses of each. We appreciated his recommendations.

Really can't say enough about the quality of the job, the date and price paid are approximate.
We chose a very nice laminate, it was installed without a problem, we were provided with instructions on care and maintenance. Thanks to Corbin’s knowledge and craftsmanship we remain very happy with our new counter-tops. Our counters have been in now for over a year and we remain pleased with them and have had no problems or defects

Corbin did a beautiful job. Fantastic attention to detail. Purchased his sink, faucet, soap dispenser. Very good quality and value.

He did a good job . We use an extra piece he had in his shop and it looks beautiful and at a good price. The only problem it took a long time for him to do the job. If you have time he is good.

wife knew he was here, besides the counter top being installed, is that
the room was cleaner than it was before he showed up. I am a do it
yourself guy but I can not beat Corbin's professionalism and prices.

The countertop is just what I wanted, I liked that he gave me the information I needed to have the job meet my expeditions.

My experience was very positive. Corbin is very personable and professional. Most importantly, I am very pleased with the final product. I gave him a 'B' under puctuality b/c he needed to change meeting times (usually only by an hour or 1/2 hr), a number of times. However, he called every time he was running late, which I greatly appreciated; he's an owner/operator therefore I understand jobs run late, but it was a little nerveracking. Other than this, he completed the job when promised and the countertops look fantastic.

I liked that there were separate people to do all the different work that was involved in installing the countertops like one person did the plumbing connections while another person fixed the countertops. Their prices were cheaper in comparison to the others. One of the workers dropped a countertop while he was carrying it, but they solved the problem very soon. So, I wouldn't call that a problem. I would use them in the future too.

He did a very good job. It took a little bit longer than what was originally thought. He was a little bit of calling back and there were delays. Overall, he did a good job for a good price.

Corbin was initially very responsive and made time (between other jobs) to come out and look at the laminate countertop job. It was for an upper & lower (2 level) bar counter area (±6 ft long). We are having granite countertops installed in the kitchen and honestly told him we were looking to save money by doing laminate on the bar counters. He spent time to measure and talk about aspects of the job. He gave a verbal quote (seemed high) and said he would email a more detailed quote the next day. He never emailed or called again. So we are left assuming the job was "too small" for him to follow up on. I had selected Corbin/Counterworx based on recent ratings on Angie's list. My experience did not live up to prior ratings. I believe it would have been appropriate for Corbin to take just a minute to let us know he was not interested in our countertop job.

Corbin's work and customer service was excellent from start to finish. He was timely, provided a very helpful and accurate estimate, and left our kitchen clean and looking great. He is a craftsman, and the finished result looks beautiful. He went over and above by creating rounded corners on the island with the bullnose edge. He is very experienced and it shows in his advice and recommendations.

Upon calling Corbin, we immediately set-up an appointment for the next day. He came in performed the measurements and gave me multiple estimates depending on what grade of laminate I used. The original bid was right on when the job was completed. Corbin allows the homeowner to perform the demo work and reinstall the appliances to further save on the overall job if wanted. Within a week and a half of the original estimate the countertops were built and installed. The countertops turned out flawless and exactly as I had planned. Furthermore, I had Corbin build an end piece support for the countertops to further increase the appearance and function. He ended up not charging me for the additional piece which was a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend Corbin for any future laminate work.

I was blown away!!! We didn't have the budget for granite or marble countertops, but Corbin used his skill and experience to make our new Formica 'marble wanna-be' look just about as nice. My mother-in-law was even impressed - and if you knew how hard she is to please, you'd realize what a big deal this is. I can't say enough good things about Corbin's attention to detail and craftsmanship! My husband sold new homes for years with a VERY reputable builder - and their Formica kitchen countertops were never installed so well!
