This is a three story house. The architecture shingle were properly installed, including the vent ridge. The proper sealing with the use of flashing around three chimneys and vent pipes was not replaced or sealsed and for a year in has been leaking. (They only used tar which didn't seal well) We were unaware of the damage until the plaster wall grumbled and wallpaper began to fall off the wall in the upstairs rooms. Ricky has you pay half of the cost of the estimate so that he can purchase the shingle and materials needed. You then pay the balance when the job it completed. I would recommend that you pay the company where the shingles are to be purchased and then pay him the balance when the job is completed. He always comes back ask asked for $300 for additional materials. Ask for a purchase order that shows how much has been spent.
