HOGAN CONSTRUCTION

Description of Work: Discount of 600.00 for paying cash, half up front , half when job is finished, Hired to take off old shingles, replace and add drip edge Hired to replace rotten fascia boards and masonite siding. Hired to put in roof vent and vents under soffit Hired to build new patio and remove old metal one Hired to paint whole house Job was done in a timely manner, the different crews, for different jobs varied on professionalism. some borrowed tools and equipment from me by asking but others just took them from my storage room. all were very messy and didn't clean up very well. The overall job is shoddy, drip edge is awful. They tried to repair it by putting in nails but it looks really bad. Hogan didn't want to fix it when I complained immediately, because it would cause a leak. I should have insisted he do it then. The fascia boars that were replaced do not match the others, they are an inch or more shorter. The caulking is now falling out they used and will have to be redone. One of the smooth masonite siding pieces (4 X 8 ft) had numerous gouges on it and they just covered it with spackling. I didn't notice this until I was repainting. Yes; I was repainting, immediately, because they did such a poor job. I did tell Hogan about the areas that were streaked. Hogan did send a repair man or two over after the fact, but they couldn't correct a job that was so bad on so many things. I'm uncertain anything was done correctly. The patio looks good but I worry about the construction. I finally; reported Hogan Construction to the Better Business Bureau and at first he wanted a chance to correct the job but then I received a letter stating the BBB had not received another response from Hogan and the report would stay on file for 3 years.
