Cardio Studio

Three of us left Marvin Altman because our bootcamp instructor which we loved was changing to a less challenging class. We decided to try Cardio Studio since it’s closer to where all of us live. We did a one year contract in which we fulfilled. We started in January of 2017 so we’ve been going there for 14 months. We got so bored with doing the same thing every Monday, Wednesday, Friday at this gym that we decided to try mercy. We decided to cancel our contract with Cardio Studio. I made sure we put this in written form as someone else reviewed this business said we needed to do. She told me that we owe her for the rest of this year (around $250) because they automatically sign you up for another year. She said she sent a letter to me which I didn’t get so I asked her what the address was. They made a clerical error and sent it to the wrong address. This letter tells you your contract is renewing and gives you 30 days to cancel. I never received it because they put the wrong address in the computer. My friend didn’t catch that there would be 30 days notice on his letter that he received about being automatically renewed for another full year. I told her that Mercy didn’t do that. She said she worked at Mercy before and that they do year to year contracts. I called Mercy and talked to the Manager Brian. They do not have yearly contracts. He also said she can call him at 479-314-7400 so he can explain it to her. I called her and left a message for her to call me back and she never returned my phone call. Also when we went to Marvin Altman, they did have a one year contract then month to month after the contract was fulfilled. I feel like me and my friends were taken advantage of by this company. They never told us that you were automatically renewed from year to year. We all agree that Marvin Altman and Mercy are better and nicer places to work out. I feel like we were lied to. I’ll leave it up to my friends if they would like to give a review.
