The car was making a loud clanking noise under the hood. We took to Texarkana Tire and Lube and they agreed with us that they thought it was a belt, and quoted a price of $100. They replaced the belt and realized that the clutch on the Air Compressor was out. They explained that they couldn't just replace the clutch on this model and had to replace the entire air compressor. They kept the car overnight as I discussed the quoted price with my husband. We were in a hurry for the car as my son was leaving town the next day and needed it to drive. I must admit I didn't check anywhere else for pricing. I trusted this shop to do a good job. They replaced and charged the price that we agreed upon. They also showed me where this was causing wear on the old belt, so it did need replacing also.
