I hired Top Hat to tarp my roof, because I thought I only had a small leak, that my handyman was going to repair. More storms were coming and my handyman, Kevin, recommended them. When Garith came to tarp the roof, he advised me I needed a new roof, due to all the hail damage. And he was right, when he said, "I'm sure your insurance will agree. Call them, then get back to us." I had only been in the house a year! This was also my very first hazard claim. The insurance side of the claim was complicated, time consuming and just annoying! Garith at Top Hat, made it easy. They were flexible and accommodating with the insurance standards. Come to find out, all three roofs needed replaced (I have a small cottage and shop, as well). It was a very large job. Their crew was great and Garith was actually onsite A LOT, which eased all of my concerns. Thank you, Top Hat and Garith!

Toon Hat condemned my chimney as having cracks in the flu. An engineer from the insurance company came by and found it perfectly fine, as did another chimney repair company. I've found out that other friends have had Top Hat condemn their chimneys as well. Several professionals I talked to could guess who condemned my chimney without me telling them, which is very telling.

"Yes, we have a reputation for a higher standard of inspection. However, we document ALL of the defects in our reports and are happy to provide all relevant codes, standards and said documentation and photographs to stand by our findings. We have a lot of experience with "professionals" and engineers that actually have little to no training in our field that find our findings to be frivolous or insignificant. Our challenge to any of these persons is to show us: a) documentation, evidence b) the relevant code or standard that applies. c) a signed acceptance of any deviation by the inspector and or the property owner. Pinpointed our problems very quickly. Communication from the office was excellent. I think the job became more in-depth than anyone originally thought. The guys who performed the work were there when they said they'd be, friendly, and worked hard. Several things were going on at the same time which led to some challenges for our project manager, Aaron, and frustrations for us. But the office and Aaron were always professional, clearly explained the scope of the work, responded to our questions/concerns, and ensured the jobs were done right. We were always treated with respect as customers. In the past I have been disappointed with some "service" companies, but Top Hat provided us with truly quality service all the way around. From an opinion standpoint, life is not always perfect, and challenges happen, but how a person or company responds to those challenges is the difference between mediocrity and excellence. Top Hat knows how to get it done. Highly recommend them.

This is an outstanding company. I live in Oklahoma near the Arkansas border, and I called Top Hat for an estimate and an inspection. Their state-of-the-art camera system availed me of actual pictures of the interior of the chimney, and I was astounded that I hadn't experienced a fire due to extensive chimney damage from a previous creosote fire before I moved here! Rather than rebuild the entire interior of the fireplace, they used a new system of applying a ceramic material with a high specific heat absorption index, filled all of the cracked mortar areas, added a new cap and new double-walled pipes along with a new wood-burning insert which is so environmentally friendly that it qualified for a tax credit for being non-environmentally detrimental, all at an extremely reasonable price. Rather than make just a couple of quick trips to finish the job while driving many miles from Arkansas to Oklahoma, they opted to come back when the new ceramic lining had completely cured and was ready for pipe installation, and they have returned again to check on the performance of the system. I am overwhelmed at the level of both their customer care and also their competence in the area of combustion chemistry. You will not be disappointed if you are lucky enough to employ Jake, Jessica and the Top Hat crew!

First of all they were late! Second of all, they showed up and did not have the proper equipment-our stovepipe is smaller than the chimney pipe. He went back to Springdale to get the pipe and did not return that day.....this was in October of 2009. He said he would be back with the "proper" pipe but after repeated calling in January of 2010 he finally showed up with the WRONG SIZED PIPE!!!! The hole in the stove is larger than the pipe!!!!!!! Any idiot who has been doing that job should have recognized that, or at least been prepared in case of it. Guess what? He wasn't! His "fix" was to use cement around the pipe. He lied and said that it would cure when the stove was burning like the paint did on the inside. What really happened is we followed his instructions to the letter. The cement or putty or caulk or whatever it was cracked and fell into the stove. Now we have a space between the stovepipe and stove! We tried repeatedly to contact Top Hat but they would not return our calls. Now I use a terrific guy named GREG TURNER AT THE COMPLETE SWEEP!

I had a leak that was spotted in the basement. Of course I thought it was the roof so called my roofer, Brown Boys and they said it was a problem with my chimney top. I called Top Hat and they came out to the house on the appointed time. Kevin came out went up on the roof, took pictures to show me the issue went into the attic to make sure the leak was coming from the suspected spot.
Turned out I needed a new chimney cap. The old one was rusty and water was coming in around the cap.
Kevin and team built a new one, came and installed and since then no issues.
Thankful for the speedy service and feel like they were fair on cost. I'd use them and recommend them to anyone

I was very please from start to finsh with Top Hat Services. They arrived and looked at my chimney, took pictures and discussed my options.
The rep was very knowledgeable. They had someone at my house with in 3 days, to fix my leak.

On 1st visit, mgr said roof was in overall good shape.
Repair person said condition was poor, should look at getting new roof. Had to repeatedly call office to request that mgr get stuff straight and tell us what real situation was. Finally did call after I said no return call, no pay

i used top hat roofing to replace a roof on my business.i dealt with a guy named jake who i believe was the owner.the new roof has worked well and they did it on time and to bid price.i would recommend them also because they have done roofing on several friend of mine and they were happy also.
