When the installer arrived, he asked if I wanted both springs replaced. He explained that they are designed to last 10 years and the other spring had been replaced in the past. After thinking it over and understanding the difference in price, I decided to replace both that day ($45 difference). He performed the job and lubricated all the hinges and such.
Lastly, he informed me of ways to keep my garage door functioning well. He was helpful with answering my questions as well.
I was completely satisfied with my experience with Overhead Door.
We did have an issue where the door slipped about a week later, we placed a call and they sent out a tech and resolved it for free. I greatly appreciate the professional work provided by this company.
Getting the front office to be responsive was quite a challenge! I had to call four different times to check on the install date and delivery of my door. Each time I was placed on hold for more than 7 minutes (without even music on hold!) but in each case I could not wait. I called the fifth time and asked for the manager. She profusely apologized as they were training a new customer service young lady and was extremely sorry this happened to us. We understand it's tough to train new people but at the least the new young lady should have come back to me after two minutes, taken my number and ask if they could call me back with the information.
Overall, they were very nice people with whom to work and we would hire them again.
Two hours later she called back and said their guy could be at my house in 20 minutes. I met him there and he got right to work and in less than 1 hour he was done.
Before leaving the technician lubricated the entire door and gave it a safety check. He also gave me several maintenance and operation tips befroe leaving.
Overall, a very good experience. Do not hestiate to call Overhead Doors.
Ordering was easy and the service professional. Installation was done quickly and efficiectly and the crew arrived on time. They were very professional.
Getting the installation set up was laborious however. The young woman who manages this was quite unprofessional and would leave me a message on my home phone that they would be arriving on a day I did not have an appointment and was not going to be home. I would luckily catch this and was able to tell her we would not be home.
On the first try at this I tried to set up an appointment for the next Wednesday when I could be home. She said she would note this.
However, every working day after this I received the same phone call. On the Wednesday I had tried to schedule I actually called at 8am and got the owner. He scheduled me for first thing that day and all went quite smoothly.
This would have been all 5's except for their crazy unprofessional way of scheduling their installations. This would be easy to fix and I suggest they do. I would not recommend them to anyone I knew was impatient. The tried me and I am an extremely patient person.
The guys that came to fix the garage worked fast and were very knowledgeable! I would use them again.
