 + -1 moreOnce the representative arrived, I should have known something was up since he requested that I NOT accompany him on the inspection. Hence I could not point out troubled spots to him. He met with me before departing promising me a decision within a month. I received his response, "we are not responsible, it's all the installer's fault". I grant you the installer, Scott Michael Jones, was incompetent and lackadaisical but his lacking effort did not and could not account for the significant warping and mold. I wouldn't buy Choice Dek even though they claim to have revised their construction standards, I would not trust the product or promise of warranty. They quite simply produce a product and customer service lacking in quality.
Description of Work: The provider is the manufacturer of "Choice Dek" sold by Lowes (Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, IL). The decking was higher than conventional wood but promised good wear, tear and installation. After an incompetent installer (recommended and trained by Lowes) installed this expensive deck, it was roughly 6 months before it began to visibly decline eventually warping and growing a green mold. I called and wrote AERT to complain (particularly since I found evidence of a class action suit against AERT about this decking). They sent out a customer service representative from Arkansas to Illinois.
