My lawn was previously maintained by "Lawn Doctor" and my lawn was in terrific shape due to their great care. When the owner decided to get out of the business he recommended "Ace of Blades" based on their very good reputation. The first year everything was great. The second year they burned spots on my grass that they said was caused by a new machine's exhaust. They sent someone out to put top soil on the burn spots to promote healing. The person treating my lawn killed my row of flowers that were in front of the gas meters since 1996 by spraying weed killer on them, This year, only a few weeks ago the operator told me that he was going to spray some "Nutsedge in the lawn. This had been done before, and it would turn both the Nutsedge and the Bermuda yellow for a few days and the Bermuda would recover and the Nutsedge was gone. This time he sprayed some spots in the front lawn, and large areas in the back lawn. All of these areas turned brown in and died. HERBICIDE was used.

Owner is greedy and refused a partial refund when we moved claiming some BS email that we never received. Do not use!! This company is not honest.

"Ace" technicians sprayed pre-emergent herbicide on our existing 30'x20' Vinca minor beds. It killed off a third of the plants and stunted the rest. Josh admitted it was a mistake. But he challenged my claim that the 'damage' was caused totally by the spray and said that he thought it was due to "winter stress." Never had 'winter stress' before (and winter of 2016-7 was mild). Unfortunately, I did not have a photo of the beds to show Josh the 'before-after' caused by his crew's mistake. Josh would not not re-plant the beds, and instead assured me that the plants would "bounce back" if Ace "put some fertilizer on them." He did not charge me for the pre-emerge treatment. After one year, my beds have not come back---instead they are stunted and sparse. They look like nothing is planted there. Seriously, my neighbors ask "what happened to your vinca?" I am no longer using Josh and Ace to treat my lawn. My advice is to always take a photo of your yard and beds before you let somebody work on them so that you don't have to depend on someone to take your word for it.

Very well; prompt, courteous, and reasonably priced.

Unfortunately the result of that treatment has been the total decimation of our front lawn. The people are very nice but after hundreds in treatments over the last couple of years they said we would need to re-sod our entire lawn. Why keep treating it for so long and making it worse? The wild grass in my backyard is better off.

Gentleman came in and diagnosed the problem. He sprayed the bee's and made sure they did not have a nest, checking every nook he could find.
The bee's have not come back and it's been over a month.

Treatment was very effective on a Bermuda lawn .  I plan on using them for other periodic services.

I liked them.  It's pretty average.  They're responsive.

We had just moved and called the provider we've used for years to come out and give us a quote on our new yard - it's in pretty bad shape. They quoted us an astronomical price, so we shopped it around. We love that AoB is local. Service has been very courteous and prompt. They were very up front with us that we would see minimal impact at the end of the season, but that every little bit helps. We can already tell a difference. Between the great service and a fair price, I think I've found my new favorite lawn service. Definitely recommend!

They call before each service.  Return my calls promptly and answer any concerns I might have with good advice.  Also all employees are very courteous.

Josh with Ace of Blades was great. Responded to my email within 10 minutes. He came out and to do a quote the same day. They always give me a call they day before so I can make sure my dogs are inside. The lawn looks great now!

The owner, Josh, is very professional and courteous. No hard sells, competitively priced, and very knowledgeable. Prompt to return calls. The price listed was for a full year prepaid.
