I have found them to be the most trustworthy Heating and Air company out there. Only disadvantage is that they are not always available on weekends and holidays. I had a minor emergency over the past weekend and called a couple of the 24/7 companies. The first one diagnosed a part needed but he didn't have one, said he could come back on Monday. The second one, who told me on the phone that he had the part, said that the problem wasn't that part, but said my 'heat exchanger' was cracked! And that since the furnace was over 15 years old I might as well replace it. And while I was at it, I should replace the A/C as well, because, he said, the coils may begin to leak after changing out the furnace. And, he warned, that 'cracked heat exchanger' could put out carbon monoxide so we should be careful. Talk about scare tactics! So we put up with the cold for the weekend and waited to get a second opinion from AC Service Co. First thing they did, to put my mind at ease, was check for a crack in the heat exchanger. There was no crack. They determined a part was missing, a simple 'flame sensor', and had the heat back on in less than an hour. I will never trust any other heating and air company besides them again!

First of all, we are new to the area and have not had an occasion to have our heating and air units serviced. As fate would have it, during the most recent Memorial Day weekend, our upstairs air conditioning unit quit cooling, keeping house guests in a toasty 80 degrees. I contemplated an afterhours service call, but after hearing a couple of answering machine messages requiring you to be an established customer, I decided to wait until regular business hours to try and set up service. I was able to get through the long weekend by using fans to circulate the cool downstairs air.
So beginning early this morning (the Tuesday morning after the long weekend) I started calling different companies. The first one recommended by a friend (and an Angie's list rating of A) suggested using another company since they were not a dealer for our brand of equipment (good advice), but the new company (again a rating of A) didn't have a same day opening and scheduled me for later in the week. I called another company found on the national website of brand of AC equipment, only to find out they were no longer official dealers for this company (and a rating of B). Fortunately, I found AC Service Company and now know why they have a rating of A. The lady I spoke with was empathetic and took my information. She said she would call me back as soon as possible because she knew if they didn't have an opening I would need to look at other options. Low and behold within an hour, I was called by a serviceman who was in the area and wanted to come then, and quot;if it was convenientand quot;. He came, checked out all 3 units, replaced a capacitor in the one that was not working and within a couple of hours of my initial call, had my entire house cool again. My wife was complimentary of his professionalism and advice. I couldn't be happier with the entire experience.
I realize it is impossible to always see everyone first and I have nothing negative to say about the other companies I called. I think they gave me good advice (go with an authorized dealer who stocks parts, etc.) and worked me into their schedules as soon as they could. However, I can say how glad I am to find AC Service and to confirm their A rating with my own personal experience. It is clear to me why they are a factory authorized dealer. I appreciate the understanding I felt that if they couldn't help me, I would need to find someone else since I needed the house cool. That level of customer service and personal empathy is so welcomed. The fact that they could take care of my situation in short order was just icing on the cake. This will definitely be the company I call for routine maintenance and service for my AC system in the future.

We decided to turn on our furnace when the first cold weather appeared figuring if it didn't work, we still had lots of time to get it serviced. We switched the thermostat from a/c to heat and nothing happened, not even the fan worked. My husband tried various things and we then decided to call AC Service. They had installed a new furnace recently so we figured it was probably still under warranty. I made the call explaining the situation and told them it was no rush and I could wait until the next week. We set a date and the repairman came (they always call first to say they are on the way). He spent about 5-10 minutes under the house and then we heard the furnace begin to work. A bird had flown into the duct and jammed the fan. We were relieved and lucky it turned out to be such an easy job. I feel I can always count on excellent, prompt service.
