We indicated that it was important to load everything and make the move in one load due to the fact someone was moving in immediately after our belongings were removed. Someone came and evaluated size of load and assured us an adequate truck would be used to move everything at once. On moving day they showed up with a small truck which required two loads. Everything went well with the move except that our washing machine was damaged (dropped) by the movers. That would not have been so bad, as accidents do happen, except they did not tell us of the damage and denied they had caused the damage when it was reported. After two months of phoning them and sending emails they finally sent a check. The amount was supposedly determined by weight of the washing machine, but then was decreased by depreciation. Obviously it can either be determined by weight or value, but not a combination of both. At that point I was happy to get something for the loss, but would not consider using this company again.
