I would not recommend River Valley Tree Service to anyone. One of the largest in the area and his bid was not the lowest, but seemed fair. We agreed on 19 trees to be cut for $2500. The day of service came and went as he said one of his trucks was broken down. We had to reschedule twice and arrived on the third scheduled date. He said we would be well taken care of due to the problems. We added more trees and agreed on $3900. Not bad for a day and a half of work. We requested a few trees to be split and he said he would return with 2 guys to split them after they dried out, about 2 – 4 weeks. Well 2 months went by and still nothing, so I started calling and leaving messages on his work cell. After 1 1/2 months I got a hold of him after calling his wife. He told me his phone does not receive messages, although it was his greeting I heard each time. His also said he would not answer the phone because I don’t have a local area code. Funny thing is I have called and spoke to him before using the same phone. Now he tells me that his log splitter is broken and he might buy one next spring. His Promises were never kept. Now I have a bunch of wood on my land that I cannot move because it is too heavy and cannot burn because it needs split.

This was the greatest team of workers I have seen in many years. I can't say enough good things about them and will for sure use them in the future and recommend them to anyone needing that type of service.

I recommend them. They stayed on the job until they got it done and they cleaned up. The price was very reasonable.
