Salon Illusions

Melinda Fairchild, the owner of the salon, cut and colored my hair. On my first visit to the salon, I specifically stated that I didn't want any red or blonde tones, that I wanted to keep my natural light brown color. I had very few gray hairs that I just wanted to start doing something about. My hair turned out darker and with strong red tones. As far as the cut, I just wanted a trim, I wanted to keep the same cut I had, I didn't want to change the style. She paid no attention to how I wore my hair or how it was cut. She did her own thing with lots of heavy layering. I went back a second time only because of my lack of knowledge on hair coloring. I thought I needed her to do the roots so my hair was one color, then I'd go the next week to another salon to have the color corrected. This time I brought in pictures to show her how I wanted my hair cut, which would require that she cut off a good 2 inches off the back. When she started to cut, she was only cutting off a 1/2" so I spoke up and reminded her of the photo. She angrily snapped at me for doing so. She is not miss personality by any means. If I never said anything I doubt she would have said a single word on either appointment. I specifically asked that she not do anymore layering on the sides. She did so anyway. So again I left with a very unsatisfactory haircut that was not as shown in the photos.
