MAIDS BY CHOICE

Before moving into a house that had been rented, I hired Maids by Choice to clean the empty house. When I first called for information, I was told that someone would call me back. I didn't receive the call back the same day. However, once I was called I made arrangements for this service to clean the house. I explained that renters were moving out of the house and that there would be no furniture in the house. I needed all rooms cleaned including ceiling fans, baseboards, and floors. At the time I did not realize that the carpet would be removed to bare floors. I also asked that bathrooms be cleaned entirely and that the kitchen refrigerator, stove and cabinets be cleaned. I was told they would not clean the windows. About a week before the appointment I received a call from the accounting department of this business. I was told my checking account had been inadvertently charged for another customer's service but would be corrected. I understood mistakes can happen, but in hindsight, I seems typical of this company's work. The house was not well taken care of by the renters, and the carpet had to be removed the day before the cleaning appointment. The ladies left after 3 hours of work. The next day we found food still in the refrigerator from the renters, the stovetop not cleaned, dust on the ceiling fans, dirty floors behind the dirty commodes, and crumbs in the kitchen cabinets. When I called the office, I spoke to the accountant who advised would have the cleaning lady call me back. After deciding I didn't want to talk to the cleaning lady, I called back later that same day and then spoke to a gentleman and explained that I was not happy with the cleaning and felt that the charge was too high for what was done though I'm not sure what was done. He told me that the cleaners normally only clean homes where there is furniture. I told him that I had explained to the lady with whom I made the appointment that the house would be empty which should make cleaning easier. He said he would talk to the cleaning lady and call me back. I didn't hear back from him, so I called again in a few days. The accountant told me the gentleman was on the phone and would call me back the next morning. I never heard from him. This company took my money and didn't perform the service promised. And this company refuses to discuss the matter with me.
