We had a nice large cement patio but no cover. I talked with JD, owner of Sonoran Shade and Screen and we worked out a nice shade cover to fill the entire patio area. The installation was done by a team of guys who did a great job. This is an attached patio and 26' wide. It completely changes the appearance and usage of our backyard 10 fold. Not to even account for the value added to the home. JD and crew did a great job at a great price and I will hire again.

I found this company name on Angie's List; owner called me to say that he could do the job I required. At the first conversation, I told him I did not want to run afoul of the City of Tempe and that I wanted to be sure all their regulations were followed. At this time, he agreed, but with each meeting and phone call after that, he tried to dissuade me of the necessity of going through the proper channels with the City. About two months after we first meet, he suggested that I needed to consider whether I wanted to continue. After careful consideration, and communication both with other residents of Tempe who had had work done on their property as well as with employees at the City office, I decided to cancel the project. I informed the owner via written communication and requested a return of the down payment ($2300 - half of the proposed cost, no including tax) It took two more months and several messages left before I received any of my funds. With the cashier's check, he enclosed a letter stating that he was keeping $371.00. I immediately let him know that this was not appropriate and have received no response to date.
