I wanted to send him there but my daughter hasn't desided yet. Still waiting on her. Hopefully she will agree. From all I hear it is an excellent school. They teach the children, not just baby sit them.

We and our daughter LOVE Montissori. My 3 year old loves the teachers, kids, and lessons. My 14 year old also attended when she was little and most of the teachers are the same now as they were then ... Very little turn around. Very highly recommended!

Word of mouth is so helpful and in this situation my daughter and I did not listen to others that warned us about this school. While the teaching skills are good, the attention to any child with social behavior is not something they want to deal with. So if your child has been home with a parent for the first few years of their lives, this is not the school to be sending them to. If you child has any social issue whether it be medical or something else, this is not the school. The director does not want to deal with it and does not listen to the teachers or even speicialists that are called in by themselves to see why the child is acting the way they are. She wants the parents to straighten it out, but when in fact it takes the school, the parents and anyone else the child has close contact with to eliminate the problem by all working together.

This director is not there for most ot the time and has other things to tend to. While she might be a great business person, she is not one I would consider as being great as a director of a pre-school, etc. She needs to take some classes on how to conduct yourself when talking with parents and even with the children. You do not belitte them or make them feel like they are a failure as a parent. This woman has left several mothers feeling like they were unfit to be a mother. Several left crying and even my daughter had an anxiety and panic attack and had to be taken to the doctor by the time it was all done. Even the doctor wanted to know how the director could make some of the statements she did. Another mother left in the same manner after she got done with her and went to the doctor and found the child had a medical issue that has since been taken care of. Another mother told us that she would be constantly called while at work and one day it came down to them asking her to come to the school and get out of the site of the camera system they have to spank him. She has also left this school and the child is doing great in another pre-school.

My grandchild is in another school now and is doing great. It took all,....... and quot;the school, the parents, and the grandparentsand quot; working together and in about 2 weeks the issues were straighten out. My grandchild is not perfect, but in no way was the child not going to be allowed in public school as stated by this director. The child is 3 years old and like both the doctor and new school said, and quot; The child is 3 and has to be taught social behavior, etc.and quot; The child is being taught that now and I am so glad she/he has been put into a new school where the attention to both mental and social skills for children below the age of kindergarden is taught and respected.

You want your child to be put with a school that has is good and knowledgable in their field. You want someone that is teaching them to be generally of good, respectful and moral character. Belitting ones mother in front of the child does not hold that issue with me. Also, letting the child follow another mother and her child out of the school without them knowing it is not something a mother wants to drive up and see as my daughter did. Their response......and quot;she, (my grandchild) needs to know her bonderies.and quot; She was 3 years old and yes she has been taught bonderies but in this case the ones who should have been looking out for her were no where to be seen.

Finally, this is not a school I would recommend to anyone. While the instructors are good, you have to have someone to back you in a professional manner to make the school work. In this case the director doesn't even listen to the instructors when they tried to tell her my grandchild was not a problem all the time like the director was indicating....she just cut the instructor off and said, and quot; She (my grandchild) has been a problem from day one. My grandchild had been in this place for 2 years and if she was not big of a problem then why let it go so long. My daughter had enough and took my grandchild out and a week later she was placed in another pre-school in this town that is just great all the way around. My grandchild loves it there and is growing both in her social and mental skills. It just took someone to teach her these things.
