Punctual and helpful

Very prompt service, knowledgeable and professional.  Identified the corroded coil causing the leak and cleaned the drain line which was plugged (prior HVAC contractor never even checked the drain for plugs, even after I specifically asked about the drain since I had water dripping out onto my utility room floor; he only measured the Freon charge and recommended replacement of the entire unit for $5500).  I call Free-Air for a second opinion and he told me the unit was repairable as it is not that old.  It will likely be time to replace the entire unit and upgrade the refrigerant in a few years to get higher efficiency, but it is not really in my budget at the present time and I was grateful to have the option to repair now, replace later.  Although I don't necessarily believe the first contractor was unscrupulous, it appears that it required too much effort and too little profit in offering me a repair option, even though I made them aware that to replace the entire system at this time was an extreme hardship.  Free-Air replaced the evaporative coil and drain pan and the A/C is working great with no water leakage from the area of the coil.
