The actual repairs went well. The toilet was fixed by replacing a seal and took less than 15 minutes. The scald guard took less than 2 minutes to correct. The technician spent about 15-20 minutes looking at the faucet and attempting to get the leak to stop but could not get it stopped. So the technician explained he could replace the cartridge but that may not fix the problem and a new faucet would be needed. If that did not work we would still have to pay for the cartridge as it would then be "used" even if it did not fix the problem. We opted to just have a new faucet put on and as we were not given a choice in the faucet we assumed it would be the same brand/type and metal that was being replaced. He did not have one with him so we made arrangements for him to come out the next morning and replace it. He was right on time promptly at 8:00am and got the faucet replaced. The faucet that was taken off was a Moen two handle brushed nickel faucet. The faucet that replaced it is a Delta, shiny chrome and single handle. I was not consulted at all about the brand/type of faucet, they just changed it which took about 30 minutes. Then when I asked how much I owed I was told that they would send the bill in the mail. When the bill was received about 5 days later the cost was $387. I was charged $150 for the faucet and 3 hours of labor much to my surprise since the actual time the technician was in my home working was just a little over 1 hour total. The bill also stated that they charged from the time they left their building until the plumber got back to the building. Now this is the first time I have ever been charged for travel time especially for a local business. And the guy must have been crawling if it took that long to get to and from our house as we are only about 15 minutes total away from the building. Overall the work is done and the bill has been paid but I felt they were very unprofessional in that they did not explain this charge for travel time when I contacted them and I was never even asked about what type/brand/color of faucet I wanted. I will never hire Dewey and Sons again because of these things. If they had been up front with everything I may have considered them again in the future but as it is, no way!

We installed a walkin bathtub and found that the 12 year old water heater was not large enough to fill the tub. Dewey and Sons Plumbing was recommended to us by several local trade companies and property owners in town. Right from the first contact the company was wonderful to work with. They explained the different options to us, the pro's and con's of each option and the related costs. I learned that they had years of experiance and I was very appreciative that they took the time to answer all my families questions and helped guide us to the correct most cost effective solution. They completed the work on my required timeframe and were very professional and allways followed up timely. They will be the only company I use in future.

Dewey and Sons are the best plumbers in town. The plumber was very professional and got the job done quickly. We have never had a bad experience with them and they will continue to be our plumbers in the future.

They cleaned out the nipple and that was all that was wrong with my water tank. They came back twice to make certain that the three commodes were no longer leaking

They were very professional and helpful. Mr. Dewey is so nice and day to worrk with. He made my task ad general contractor so easy. Everyone of his employees is very nice and easy to work with. Every time that I have used Dewey & Sons they have been prompt and honest about their work. They have never tried to convince to make a repair that did not need to be done. You msu pay a little more not it is worth it.

Very prompt!  Very pleased with the serice and price.

They did a very good job, but the price was out of line.  They're about the most expensive place in town, but they are very, very good.  If there are ever any problems, they will be there Johnny on the Spot.  I would recommend them to anyone.

Old spigot would leak. Installed new spigot and shutoff valve to help with leak.

Commode backed up.  Called for help.  Could not unstop line until things thawed due to snow and freeze.  Temp fix was a help and returned as soon as things thawed out.

We had a cracked pipe to an outside faucet.  We called Dewey.  They said someone would come out to see what was involved.  When he got there and inspected the situation, he fixed it.  Re replaced the pipe.  We got a bill about a week later that was reasonable in our estimation

They are excellent plumbers and they have a lot of experience. They have very seasoned people. They are very prompt when you call. They are a little more expensive. I usually use them for emergencies.

It was a rental house.  Tenant smelled funny smell in kitchen and called me.  I called Dewey Plumbing and asked them to sene
out a serviceman.  They checked under the sink and in all the cupboards and found no sign of water, mold, or anything that could possibly smell bad.  No rotted wood indicating water seepage, and no critters (who could have died).  I was pleased with the service.

All went well. Have used them for years. Service always prompt, expert and reasonable prices.
Very friendly and professional. Don't need to say much more, they are what you want in plumbing service.
