I met Mr. Davis at the site and he explained everything about the test and if the test passed how he would submit a plan to the health department. He immediately told me he expected the test to fail and explained why. It all made sense. He charged $100 for the test and then $350 for the plans of a septic system and dealing with the health department in getting the permit. He said the $100 was the cost of having the backhoe come and dig the test holes. This sounded very reasonable to me. The test failed and I am happy that I found out quickly and why this land was not suitable for a septic system.
