The first year showed a little improvement. The second year it looked a little better than the first but as we started into the third year (last year) the yard was overwhelmed with weeds and much of the grass was not coming back as Spring arrived. We cut our losses and ceased our contract after one or two more treatments. We do not know what happened but our grass has never recovered. No joke, much of it is dead, even now as we head into the Summer of 2015. My wife called Scott's about the issue last fall but they refused to accept responsibility for the dead, weed infested lawn. Not sure what happened but definitely not a good experience for us. The owner, Jonathan is a really nice man. We just did not receive very professional results. It would have been nice if they had offered to make things right. Instead, we received a call in the Fall asking for us to pay for the last treatment to our yard as it took its final dying breaths. We payed them their $40 and are looking elsewhere for our lawn care service, once we plant new grass.
"(member name removed), Thank you for taking the time to review our company and for the great grade! Our customer's satisfaction is our #1 goal! Please never hesitate to call us if there is anything we can do!"
I took a branch of the bush to a local nursery who said immediately that it was a chemical burn probably due to any overspray from lawn spray. I contacted Trugreen with information and they indicated that they would take care of this. My contacts included photos of the shrub in question and additional photos showed progressive decline of same through the months.
Since it was in November, we decided to not do anything at that time and would wait until spring to address this. The shrub continued to turn black in other areas. I was asked to get an estimate of the cost to replace the shrub. There was no way to get one that would be anywhere close to the 10-year growth. It was decided that we would need to replace the large bush with three small ones just to cover the ground that was now bare due to damage. I got the estimate and forwarded it on to the local contact. (NB. It's practically impossible to call the local franchise directly. Your call is routed all around the country whenever you call.) I was told that the supervisor had OK'd this charge. I told them that I would do nothing until I had it in writing. No note was forthcoming.
Finally had the work done at my expense ($155) when other landscaping work was contracted earlier this spring. The entire experience was totally unprofessional and frustrating. No customer service here!!!!
