Upon inspection during the daylight hours following the day of completion, I discovered these discrepancies; (1) The wrong color was used in the installation…not a small mistake. To correct that alone would have meant doing the entire job over from start to finish. I offered the owner, “Lary Zeno” an option to settle for either removing the wrong color roofing and completing the job with the right color OR consider it paid in full with the $5300.00 deposit I had already paid and his loss. He chose to consider it his loss. I had already paid for and had waiting to be installed new guttering to match the color of the roofing I agreed upon in the roofing contract and had to use it or re-order with a suitable color to match the roofing they had installed. (2) They had also failed to remove the old gutter helmet on the garage thereby leaving a two foot wide strip of old roofing plainly visible on each end when I attempted to have the gutters replaced. When they showed up to fix that mistake, instead of removing the old roofing, they did a ‘layover’ which made it impossible to replace the gutters (already bought, paid for and on the premises) without scrapping what we had and having new ones made to fit their mistake, which I did. (3) Their workers trucks left huge oil spots in several places on my driveway, which, when they finally showed up and attempted to remove, couldn’t get their power washer started and it left gasoline and oil spills next to my garage entry which I had to remove myself to prevent tracking it into my house. (4). The roofing was laid over the skylights, left uncut, and blocking the view from both ends. I had a local roofer correct that problem and in the process, he discovered insulation inside the skylight was protruding through the wood walls. I also had that problem remedied at my expense. This entire scenario could and would have been avoided if there had been any supervision on the job. Mr. Zeno was, according to his voice mail message, "unavailable until (the following) Saturday." None of their roofers could speak English so it was impossible to question what they were doing or going to do about removing the old gutter from the garage as they had done on the house. I also picked up (and still have) 28 roofing nails from several locations around my house. In repeated attempts to get “Rock Solid Roofing” to credit me with a “Paid in Full” job, I have had no response.Overall, your "grade" of "F" describing "lousy" is much too high.
