No good at all work was very bad they left a stump in my yard and they and they charged me $19,885 over charged for the work that was performed would not recommend them to anyone and they need to come back to finish my yard for all the money I paid them. They put a tarp on my roof that was too small for the hold in my roof .I would never recommend this company to anyone so please search before you decided to use this company. Thank you Signed Mr. Unsatisfied..!!!!
Response from GIRAFFE TREE SERVICE
"Mr. Gaitlin’[Member Information Removed] review is a malicious harassment to try and slander the name of our highly reputable company with false misleading allegations Mr Gaitlin is a dishonest dubious character. He tried to deceive and manipulate this situation for self financial gain What Mr Gaitlin failed to mention: He contracted us after a storm to remove a massive oak tree that crashed through his roof and destroyed his home. The damage to his home from the tree was severe and extensive, his home was devastated The sheer size of the enormous tree required a very large crane to remove and days to complete. Which we did Mr Gaitlin even gave us rave reviews during an interview with a local news reporter who filmed and broadcast us removing it off his house because it was such a large tree and the extent of the damage to his home caught their TV crews attention The costs of services rendered responding to his emergency was accordingly, fairly and appropriately priced for the work done Furthermore, his insurance company throughly reviewed the claim and invoice, and notably, they found the cost acceptable and approved payment in full. However, despite his insurance approval for the claim, Mr. Gaitlin refused to pay anything at all, and became difficult to contact, even rudely hanging up on our staff and insurance people numerous times when attempting to contact him We were left with no other alternative but to hire an attorney, and since then, we received payment a few days ago And so now he'[Member Information Removed] posted this review to harass and misinform people Mr Gaitlin is someone who tried to keep all the money owed a contractor, making false allegations, fraudulent claims and avoiding paying a dime for professional services he received Thankfully his ruse failed and payment was finally rendered"

Giraffe Tree Service showed up at 8:00 am and promptly went to work. One of the things that they do is very important, which is to have a job briefing and then to use various safety equipment. All have hard hats, gloves and use ropes to raise and lower themselves in the trees. SAFETY is their number one priority. It took them about 3 hours to do all of the work, including raking the entire yard and using a giant chipper/shredder, which enables them to haul away all debris. Even my yard looked better than before they came. Their workmanship is superb!

I would rate them A+++. They didn't even leave a leaf behind after they took the tree. There were no damages anywhere. They do an estimate before you contract with them. I had 2 trees taken out by them. They gave me advice on a previous job and that's why I used them this time. I had a house which had a view I didn't know about. He advised me to cut one tree and that I would have an outstanding view. I sold that house so fast and that too at asking price all because I took out that one tree. He was well worth every penny I paid him.

One tree was right next to the house. They used a crane for that one. The other was too far for the crane to reach so they took it down old school. Hard workers, very polite, cleaned up well. I would recommend, especially for difficult tree removal.

Is this price gouging or at least taking unfair advantage of a customer's already bad situation? We were charged a higher fee because the work was deemed an "emergency." The work was done during regular business hours at our home in the city of Little Rock where the business is located. The fallen tree and debris was not removed although it apparently would have been if the work had been done under other circumstances or not been classified as an "emergency." ???

They were very professional. They are not cheap. They cleaned up very well. I would use them again. They were reliable, and they showed up when they said they would. They got the work done and cleaned up, which is all I ask.

They showed up a little early, were great to deal with, were very efficient and cleaned up the yard nicely. The only issue was the first two times I left a voice mail for an estimate I did not receive a call back. After my husband called, they were very quick to respond and did a wonderful job. I would hire them again if needed.

This is an update on what I had written before, which you can read in the paragraph below. In January I decided to try to contact Giraffe Tree Service one more time. This time I reached the owner's wife who acts as his secretary. She has taken the place of the previous secretary who no longer works for the company. The owner is Dean Goodson and his wife is Sharon. With Sharon doing the work for Giraffe, things went very smoothly. I was pleased with her keeping me informed due to some weather related delays in doing the work. As to the work Giraffe performed, it was very professional and friendly. A couple of things that were very important to me were (a) the company has its own workers and does not contract out the work; and (b) Giraffe covers its employees with workers compensation insurance. Below is my previous entry, which is no longer a problem: I left a message with Giraffe Tree Service in the middle of October to get an estimate on trimming three large pin-oak trees as well as installing lightening rods. However, all contacts are made via voicemail, as Giraffe never answers their phone regardless of the time of day. After about 4 or 5 messages they finally returned my call and told me they would send someone out to give an estimate. After a few weeks went by, I called again and left a message asking about the estimate and when it would take place. No return calls were made. From the end of November until mid-December I left about 5 more messages. Again, no return calls. In my estimation, if they are so poor at returning calls, then they are not the type of company that I want working for me.

This was a very large pine tree 90 ft. leaning more each year (I had watched it for 20 years and hesitated to remove it until it started to lean more with each storm. It was a great tree). The estimate of 6 hours to remove the tree was on time! Crew was professional, no damage to surrounding structures or even azaleas around the tree. Stacy the expert climber, looked for nests of animals, birds prior to removal. We had this tree removed in early fall, rather than spring when there is less danger of destroying nesting birds. Giraffe sent proof of insurance to my address prior to work being done.

They first provided an estimate and then came back on the agreed upon day. They did a professional job and we were happy with their work.

I wanted to make sure my trees were healthy and growing properly, and since I have a LOT of very tall trees, I also wanted to reduce the risk of any storm damage to my home. The owner of the company came out and provided a very specific and detailed estimate, and he helped me look at options as far as which parts of the job were more pressing. I can't say enough about how knowledgeable he was, and I really appreciated the time he spent answering my questions. Scheduling the work was a snap, and they came out on time and finished the same day. Impressive equipment, great cleanup, no problems at all.

I had some med-large limbs hanging over my home. One would actually bang on the roof of my home if the wind blew just right. He came by to look at what needed done and they were out to do the job within a couple of days. The guys did a wonderful job of cleaning up after doing the work.

Overall there service was good. We had a little trouble keeping on schedule due to the numerous trees down after the storm. They ended up being late for the estimate due to a emergency call and they removed the tree a day later then scheduled. The only complaint I have is they offered to grind up the stump up, but did not actually do it. I would be willing to use this company again in "normal" circumstances, but not for an emergency.

I had them come out to do an estimate. They were available the next day to do the job. There was a 40% chance of rain that day and it looked as if it would rain at any time. They called at lunch and said if the rain held off they would get to me in the afternoon. Thankfully, it did not rain and the crew was able to get the job finished. While they were out they cut on two neighbors trees/limbs. The crew was very conscientious about the clean up. The owner came out as they were finishing. He was professional and courteous.

These guys did a great job of taking care of the work I wanted done. They are prompt and kind. They took great care not to damage my landscaping. They did the work in a few hours. I feel that they did an excellent job, and my yard looks so much better. These guys showed up when they said they would. No hidden charges.

When they came out for their service call, we told them what we wanted, and they told us how much they would charge, and we agreed. They got right to work, and all four of the guys were very polite. They cleaned up all of the mess from the trees and hauled everything away.

This four man crew did an awesome job, and it was something to see them way up in mid air taking the trees down in small sections. They used safety gear and precaution. They got it all done in one day, which we were impressed with.

I found that Giraffe Tree Service had quite the equipment. They used a bucket lift and were able to get in some amazing places. It only took one day to do the work, if that. My neighbor saw their work and hired them as well. They were responsive to phone calls and did not waste any time.

These guys did a perfect job. They are very nice people. The work made a big difference in the appearance of my yard. They took down a dead tree, chopped it up and it was gone. I had a new 14-foot tree planted in its place. All my other trees were trimmed. Every stick and leaf was cleaned up when they left. It is a supervised professional crew. I couldn't be happier.

This is the best out there. I spoke to the owner on the phone for about an hour. He gave me references to call. He understood how I felt about cutting my trees down in order to accommodate a new addition on the home. He was not quite the lowest estimate, but he actually looked at the yard. Other companies just drove by the house never looking at the backyard. He has a crew chief but he checks the progress of the jobs. His guys wore uniforms, and there was no cursing. When they left you could eat off the street it was so clean, there wasn't even a stray leaf in the yard. My neighbors took notice of the good job and before you know it they trimmed and did work for five other neighbors that day as well! I wish these guys did other work besides trees. I would hire them for everything.
