I was home and personally observed all of the work. The crew and material arrived on time and went right to work. They moved patio furniture away from the house, covered up the landscape plantings adjacent to the house and began work on the roof. Twelve hours later the old roofing material and ridge vents had been removed, the debris had been cleaned up and hauled away, the roof was completely covered with felt, and the leakproof material in valleys. Quite a percentage of the new shingles were installed. For a few days prior to the work being done, we had been experiencing spotty heat induced thunderstorms and my concerns about rain were alleviated by the full coverage before the crew left. It did not rain. On the second day the crew arrived on time and went right to work. They completed the job in about 9 hours. During the job, the workers encountered a nest of wasps which were quite aggressive prior to their elimination. The crew did such a nice job cleaning around the house and in the driveway that my wife and I thought it was neater after they left than before they arrived. Our home is very heavily landscaped and I did not see how this work could be done without extensive damage to the plants around the house and along the driveway. When all was done, three azaleas had been crushed and will need to be replaced. This is incidental damage and not a complaint as there are literally hundreds of plants in the areas below where they were working. Every member of the crew was courteous and efficient. It would be difficult to find a harder working bunch of guys. I would use their services again and I would recommend them to anyone.

They were very professional. They showed me they were licensed and trained. They had their contact information readily available. They showed up on time. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

I would echo the great reviews I read about Garcia & Son. Travis was prompt to make the requested estimate. Allison coordinated the scheduling of the job and promptly got answers to questions I had. The crew was fabulously efficient and did a great job of cleanup.

Travis came out and gave me a written estimate for the new roof and even mentioned a coupon on Angie's list. I called and accepted the proposal the next day and was asked to fax in a signed copy of the proposal. The new roof was scheduled for the following Monday. They called to confirm on Friday and showed up bright and early Monday morning. They placed tarps around the house and tore off the old roof. I was amazed at how fast they had the new roof on. They cleaned up around the house and even trimmed back a few branches that overhung the roof. It was about as painless as getting a new roof could be.

They were excellent. The price was very reasonable and they were willing to work with us. We still owe them a little bit and they are letting us pay them in payments. They were very efficient with their work. They arrived about 8 in the morning and were finished by 4:00PM. The workers that came were very kind and professional. I hardly saw them take any breaks.

They were very good. I think I found them on Angie’s List. They did an excellent job with my roof. Another company was charging me $11,000 for the same job. I had asked for the premium roofing. They came out at 8:00 a.m. in the morning and worked non-stop till 4:00 p.m. I think they took a 30-minute lunch break. They did the whole roof within one day.

Replaced decking, roofing felt, laid shingles and replaced vent covers. Came early, cleaned all around the house and left in the afternoon. Great job! Will use again!!

Called Garcia & Son Roofing to get an estimate for roof replacement.The lady I spoke with was very polite and set me up with a date for an inspection and estimate.On the date promised, an estimator came and looked over my specific situation and needs and submitted a detailed written estimate.I decided to accept this estimate and called back to set up a date to get the work done.The crew arrived on the date promised.The shingles were delivered the morning of 5/22/2012.3 guys show up around 1:15 pm and start tearing off the old roof and installing felt underlayment. Around 2:30 pm 2 more guys arrive and new ice dam and valley flashing is installed. The crew proceeds to install new shingles.At approximately 5:00 pm new roof has been installed and all debris has been cleaned up.The crew did an awesome job! They cleaned up every piece of scrap shingles and plastic and even passed a magnet over my lawn around my house and got up all staples and nails.They even painted a metal chimney to match my roof color!All the crew were very professional, organized, and polite.Just a note - Garcia & Son Roofing were not the cheapest estimate that I received but they were competitive with the other roofing companies that I had estimates from. The main reason I chose to go with these guys was the great reviews found here on Angies List. I am glad to have made this choice and would highly recommend them for your next roofing project!Everyone with Garcia & Son Roofing that I had contact with were professional and pleasant to deal with.

He answered all my questions and either called or made special trips to my home to further answer other questions that came up. He talked to me about anything I had questions about concerning the roof. The office staff is very friendly, courteous and professional. They called me back promptly if I couldn't contact them immediately. Everything was ordered on time and done on time. They were very efficient and helped me work out all the details. An insurance agent recommended this company to me. I checked them on Angie's List and was very impressed with their grades. I also used a $150 coupon from Angie's List which they readily accepted. I am a perfectionist and have a high standard for work. They did a wonderful job. I am very highly satisfied and would highly recommend them to anyone, some of whom I already have.

The workers arrived on time in the morning along with the supplies for the roof replacement. They got right to work and I felt comfortable leaving for work while they continued with the roof. Before leaving, I pointed out the rotted wood on the eave of the roof and the lead roofer indicated that he would definitely be able to fix it. I received a call about 3pm from the lead roofer who indicated that the roof was complete. I came back to the house and he lead me around the perimeter and let me see the work before I wrote the final check. When we got to the part of the roof that had the rotted wood, he said that he had replaced the wood and placed metal flashing over it since it was in a corner that would get water. I told him I thought it looked weird, never having seen flashing placed like that, but he assured me that was the right thing to do. He also told me that I would be able to paint the flashing so it looked like the rest of the wood trim but he didn't have any white paint with him to do this. The next morning I was pulling out of the driveway and noticed scraps of flashing on the front lawn - apparently an animal had been trapped in the attic and had clawed its way out of the 'repaired' section. With the metal flashing torn off, I could clearly see that the rotted wood had *not* been replaced and the flashing itself had barely been nailed down. I called the company and told them about the issue - they were apologetic and told me they would send someone out to repair it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, that was the week that we had torrential rain for three days straight, so they were not able to come out and repair the hole until after the rains stopped. Once we had a rain-free morning, they sent someone out to the house to repair the wood, re-attach the damaged shingles and paint it to match the trim. I was happy with the final work - it looks much more "normal" (the metal flashing tacked over the wood just looked weird). I do wish that they had offerred to send someone out to cover the hole while it was raining, however. Overall, the roof itself looks great and now that the rotted wood on the eave has been fixed, it looks very cohesive.

got estimates from 2 contractors and had 2 different adjusters come out to evaluate. price differences were significant between contractors. had to have both contractors out to meet with adjuster for final quotes. best estimate was from Garcia and Sons. they came when scheduled, on time and performed the work quickly and efficiently. short rain delay during lunch break. they worked in the light rain in order to finish the job on time. the work was done on time. the removal of all old roofing materials was thorough. will recommend these people to anyone needing quality work in the future.

Crew arrived at 7:15 AM. By 7:30, they were stripping off the old shingles. Very organized , courteous and professional. Entire job was finished before 2:00PM, impressive efficiency with quality work. The crew cleaned up the mess well, in some places leaving my yard cleaner than they found it. They used a magnetic roller to pick up the stray nails in the yard, but after they were finished I walked around and found sixteen stray nails, mostly in the driveway and in the gutter along the street where my daughter parks when she visits (which is why I specifically checked there.) Although sixteen nails isn't ideal, it's a small number considering the hundreds (or thousands) of nails involved, and far better than other roofing crews I've witnessed in the past. I think that if they set the roller a little lower, they would have caught those strays. Used the Angie's List coupon and saved an extra $150! Overall, an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

Called the office phone for a week and never got anyone to answer although it was the week after the Christmas holidays. Just would've been nice to know if they weren't taking phone calls that week to disclaim that on the answering machine. So because Angie's rated them so high I tried again and got through the following week. A guy came out and looked at the damage and then said someone would be contacting me about an estimate. Never heard from the company again.

Called to get quote and the work was scheduled about 7 business days out. The weather was bad the day before the scheduled date and I did not get a call to see if this would put the work behind schedule. I called the morning of the scheduled date and was told that indeed the weather had put them behind, but they scheduled a crew for the next day (Saturday) and they arrived on time and completed the job in about 6.5 hours. All dealings with the company were very professional and I am definitely a satisfied customer.

Arrived at 7:15 am with crew of six (6). Surrounded entire house with tarps to catch debris... Parked dumpster in driveway... Stripped off old roof by 10:30am... started laying roof paper... installed drip edging... began shingling on both sides of roof simultaneously... installed ridge vent, and finished by 2:30 pm. Cleaned up very well and departed around 3:30 pm... next day discovered stove vent fan was not working in kitchen. Called and informed of problem with stove exhaust fan. Crew manager arrived in less than one hour after call, and removed some roofing debris from duct work, and sealed duct work with metal duct tape. Very satisfied with followup service to correct issue with fan. Removed old TV antenna and mounting materials, at no extra charge. Very pleasant experience, and very impressed with the 'teamwork' of the six man crew. All workers stayed busy entire time on site. Took 30 minute lunch break on site. and continued afterward.

Exceptional service. Did everything I requested with excellence. I was most impressed with the incredible job they did with clean up. Wow!

. Gave estimate on whole roof and section. only ended up replacing leaking section which cost much less, but repair crew was very professional and easy to deal with. Did not feel like they were trying to push me to do more of the roof. Work blended in very nicely with existing shingles.Only issue was they wanted a check rather than credit card and so had to send me the bill. Received a call from company one day after receiving bill to ask about payment. told them I had received the bill and would take care of it, but received another call two days later, and had already sent payment. Just should have allowed time for post etc.

Overall, they were excellent. They were super nice people; they were very nice on the job site as well as in the office. They did a good job and cleaned up well after the work. Their price was great. I had no complications with them and would highly recommend them. I would definitely use them again in the future if necessary.

They were actually very quick. They came late and started the work in the afternoon and they did how much they could. Then they came the next day and finished the work. They were very good and also put in some things without charging extra. I was actually surprised with that. They came when they said they would come. They were all nice and respectful.

They were good people and they were nice. They came when they said that they would come. We got a better offer from some other service provider and so, we went with somebody else.

Travis, the person who came out to do the estimate, was very nice and professional. The estimated price of $8300 was a little bit higher than the company I decided to go with. It was architectural shingles and a little bit better roof than what the other company had to offer. He brought a construction guy here and was going to do a whole new chimney whereas the other company was going to do just a chimney cap. Taking everything into consideration, I still felt that their price was a little bit higher than the other company. I told Travis I had set my budget at $8000, and he said that he could do the work for that. He asked me to call the office and schedule an appointment, and when I called the office, the person told me that it would $8300. She disagreed with the price and wouldn’t check with Travis. She wanted me to call and all that, and that is why I ended up not going with them; it kind of put a damper on my experience with them. They didn’t do any work, but they could have ended up doing a great job. I probably would consider using them again in the future.

They are pretty good and I had no problems with them. They were quite prompt in giving me the estimate. They seemed very knowledgeable and one of them was able to answer everything. I just found someone else that I liked a little better.

All went very well. Quote was free, on time and accurate. They were in and out quickly with a large crew that worked hard. The roof looks great and the two leaks are fixed. They made a very good effort to protect the area on the ground around the perimeter of the house. They cleaned up well, but there were small pieces of shingling, and paper that would showup. I would highly recommend them.
