Outstanding! Brad Clemmons (Foreman/supervisor) and his crew did everything I wanted done and did it well. Brad and his crew were very professional, courteous, and made sure I was satisfied before they left. I highly recommend them and plan to use them again in the future.

Wonderful. They were very careful and patient with a very large tree and a small area in the backyard. Two trees removed, one in front and one in back...very old and large!

I contacted Capital Tree service on behalf of my 83 year old father who noticed the top of one his trees was splitting probably from the high winds. Since it was after hours the guy contacted by Dad and NEVER mentioned he was booked up but quoted him $450 or $500 and hour for the equipment and $250 an hour for his men. They arrived at 9pm but the clock started when they arrived at the company. Needless to say, the tree is still standing and it cost my Dad $4500.00! They didn’t clean the mess up and also left empty water bottles in my Dad’s yard. They topped the tree on the side it was mostly splitting which means WE will have to cut the tree down. I contacted the office the next day and someone returned my call and stated “we can return and clean up the mess but we have to charge your Dad.” I was like you’d think for $4500 you could have returned to clean up the mess! Sure it was an emergency after hours call but for $4500 and the tree is still standing with a yard full of limbs and debris should be unacceptable by any business standard! I would suggest anyone stay clear of this tree service and had I looked on Angle’s List first instead of google then I could have saved my Dad a lot of stress! Who treats a customer and their property like crap and then replies they can come back for a fee after receiving $4500. So really one tree by their estimates would be around $6000 to $10,000 the way they charge! I don’t think so! Be warned, find another emergency tree service. One that will not try to squeeze your wallet and leave your property in turmoil afterwards for you to clean up! Another fee, I don’t think so!

They were pricey, but were courteous and professional. Look around, there are a lot of tree trimming companies in this area.

I was really pleased that they were able to come out quickly after a storm, but the work was careless. They knocked off a spigot in my front yard so I had to turn off the water to that part of the house so that water wouldn't continuously pour out. They also dropped part of the tree on my compost bin and crushed it, so I have to buy a new one. I was told that they'd come back to take care of both of these issues, but it was always "tomorrow" that someone would come. Never happened. I hate to leave a negative review because I was really optimistic that they would take care of these errors, since they told me multiple times that they would, but it's been weeks now and it hasn't happened. Lesson learned: don't pay for the work until errors are corrected.

The company was very responsive from initial contact. No large problems during work.  I felt I got a good deal for the work that was done.  i was disappointed when I noticed a bush in my front yard had been smashed but no one reported it to me.  Debris was cleaned up well.

After I called them for an estimate, Matt called me back pretty quickly. He showed up the next day to give me what I thought was a fair quote . He had no problem giving me Capital City's insurance information when I asked. I had never hired a tree cutting service in Little Rock before and just wanted all the information I could get just to be safe. I called the insurance company and CCTS checked out. Everything went great. After waiting on the rain to go away and waiting a few days for the yard to dry out enough, his crew showed up and worked quickly and efficiently. I was amazed at how fast they took the trees down, cleaned up the mess in my yard and my neighbor's yard, all without any awful, deep ruts or leaving any trace of the trees. Some of my neighbor's grass was disturbed a little, but it's nothing a little rain won't fix. I guess my neighbor is happy, too. He hasn't complained to me about anything. Before the crew left, Matt Shaw showed up to make sure I was happy with their work. I was. A day or two later, Mr. Shaw showed up with the stump grinder and now I have no ugly stumps! I am very happy with their work and will be hiring them again to take care of a couple more trees in my back flowerbed.

They arrived right on time.  They worked hard all day long.  I checked on them several times throughout the day, as I had to work. They cleaned up very well.  It was a hard job and they did a very good job.  Very professional and nice.

Came out to provide a quote the same day i called.  Service performed within one week.  Tree was very near my house, overhanging my roof and sandwiched between my neighbors house and mine.  There was nowhere to drop it, so they took it down piece by piece.  Showed up on time, very professional, and cleaned up after themselves.  Manager showed up once they were all finished to inspect the site, walk it over with me, and make sure I was satisfied.  A+ would use again.

1. Responsiveness : Excellent. Matt Shaw came out on a Sunday afternoon at 3:30 PM to look at the scope of the work, make recommendations, and give me an estimate on the spot. We agreed on a hand-shake. The whole visit took 20 minutes top. The contract was signed the morning of the beginning of the work, which started on Tuesday, less than two days after our verbal agreement.
2. Trust: The company is very trustworthy. We agreed on a handshake. I paid the company the full amount after two days of work but before the completion of the work. Matt gave me his word that the work would be satisfacorily completed. He kept his words. He also made recommendations in my best interest. One company recommended that I have the stumps ground. Matt recommended otherwise. He said he did not know how to get the machine for stump grinding into the work area because of the narrow brick enclosure and the slope of the back yard. Additionally, it was not an area that I plan any landscaping but intend for it to be a wooded area. Stump grinding is not needed in that case even if it were feasible. It will only add cost but no benefit.
3. Customer-oriented attitude: This company cut some additional trees that were not listed on the contract because I was concerned that they were too close to the street and branches may fall and injure people or damage passing vehicles. Matt Shaw did not nickel and dime me by asking for additional fee. He goes above and beyond the contract to make me happy with his work.
He told his crew to cut them right there and then. He also had his crew trim off branches on trees to make the yard look nice and cut all the existing stumps down to as low as possible. He took care of the whole front and back yards.
4. Price: Excellent for the amount of work and the quality achieved.
5. Speed: The massive amount of work is completed in three full days. But they made sure to keep my driveway usable during the entire time that they were still working on the front and back yards.
Conclusion: If you have lots of work that need to be done, this company should be your company of choice. I have four companies come out to make proposals. Capital City Tree Service (Matt Shaw) is the best in my experience. A very good friend of mine used this company before and insisted that I used this company. I am grateful for his insistence.

Capital City came in a did a FULL days work around our house.  We had one dead oak behind a shed (and next to power and cable lines) that had to come down.  They not only got that tree, but they took down several other trees that could have been potential hazards to our home in storms.  They also cleaned up all the limbs and brush around the house.  This may not sound like a lot, but we had never had the trees trimmed so there was a lot to do.  Also, there is no access to our backyard, so all the trees had to cut by climbing.  I was amazed at how great of job they did and they left my yard absolutely spotless.  You only knew they were there because we didn't have all the limbs hanging over the house.
I couldn't be happier with the price and service from Captial City.  Matt and the crew were very professional.  I have already recommended them to many of my friends. :)

after agreeing on a price and date(the price was high, but fair and we had to wait for near a month which we agreed to) the workers arrived at their stated time. their were five workers and they all knew exactly what to do and how to do it. one man climbed the tree, another started cutting limbs from the ground with a pole saw. it was obvious this crew had worked together a lot.
all were courteous and professional. the climber stayed in the tree for over 4 hours and cleared all the limbs safely from the power lines and from over the roof. the limbs were immediately moved to the front of the house, and the trunk was cut into manageable pieces and moved to the street. the clean up left no trace of the tree limbs or leaves.
this company is very customer oriented, with follow up to insure I was satisfied with the service.
I had the stump ground down approximately 10 inches under soil level. I discovered a problem with the stump grinding, called the company and they took care of the problem expeditiously. and both the sales rep and the company founder came back to the site to make sure it was all done to my satisfaction.
this was a great experience, well worth the price and the wait time. nice to see a truly customer oriented company in today's business climate.
