Breathe Salon

I enjoyed my experience at Breathe Salon. I arrived a bit early, and was seen around 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Breathe offers beverages to customers while waiting, which is a nice touch. The salon is in an older home. The atmosphere is very congenial, and my stylist enjoyed chatting with me, other stylists, and other customers during my appointment. I walked out with a style slightly more conservative than what I had pictured in my head but which was still much better than my previous style! The haircut was excellent, and it was fun to learn new styling tricks for my new look.

I have just moved to the area and was looking for a new salon. I partly picked this place because I saw that they use sulfate-free Pureology hair color products. The stylist (Dennis) was very professional and friendly. He listened carefully to what I wanted and did exactly that, but also made some recommendations on my hair color, which was greatly appreciated. There's a very clean, hip atmosphere to the place. A bonus is that you can make appointments online once you're established as a client.

**I downgraded my review of this salon slightly based on an appointment I had in October for hair color. The second time I went, the salon was very quiet with no music playing - it was pretty boring to be there on a rainy Saturday. The stylist took another walk-in client while my hair color was sinking in. I feel pretty sure that the color was on a little too long as a result because my hair has been dry and brittle since that dye job. The other issue I had was that the stylist let my bangs dry all funny because he got to them last with the blow dryer. I ended up having  weird stuck-up bangs all day and have never had that happen with another stylist. Not the worst experience ever, but I've since switched to Fringe Benefits, which has been fantastic.

I found this salon on the city-vote site for Little Rock and it was close to my house, so I thought I would give it a try. I called this morning and they were very nice and were able to get me in today!
 Peter did my cut and color... I went in with just a broad idea of what I wanted, showed a few pictures to him with some description of what I liked and didn't like and away we went. They have a cute "processing room" where I sat while my color timed, they offered drinks, mags, etc. The atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant.
  Peter  was wonderful!     I now have the best cut AND color I have had in years. I will recommend Breathe Salon to all of my friends from now on, I had a really good experience.
