I got there early so I could fill out the paperwork. While in the waiting room with my dog and my 6-year-old son, the receptionist talked with some other women and used inappropriate words several times. I almost asked her to watch her language around my son. Another girl took us back to the room and asked us a few questions about what was going on. She left and a few minutes later another girl came in and asked some more questions. Then, she took my dog out of the room to "see what's going on". On her way out, she asked for my permission to run a blood test or take x-rays if needed. Of course I agreed to whatever my dog needed done, thinking that if something was needed that money would be discussed with me if it was tallying up to an expense. She brought my dog back to me on a choker leash. She was gagging trying to run across the room to me. I didn't like that one bit. She explained that the doctor would be in soon to talk about the blood test results. The doctor walked in a few minutes later and went over the results with me. She left and the previous girl returned to take my dog away for some shots. She brought her back on the choker leash once again. My poor puppy just gasping for air until she finally let go of the leash so she could run to me. Would it hurt her to carry my little 12-pound dog? She was scared. Holding her close would have comforted her a little bit. She went over the oral meds with me and then we walked out. At the checkout desk, I was told that my charges racked up to $313. I was FLOORED!! What exactly did they do? Walking into the office alone costed me $60. Ridiculous. I was expecting maybe $100 but $300?!? Wow. I tried questioning it but the receptionist only stared at me like I was overreacting and told me that they had an itemized bill to show the charges of everything. Then she added that I needed to pay the full amount today. How many people just have $300 lying around? Not me. I'll never go back there ever again. So expensive. I even talked to some people later on who confirmed that they always are higher priced. I wish I had known.
