I have sent a certified/registered letter to this contractor stating that if this work isn't done to my satisfaction by 1/31/12, I will hire another contractor to complete the work and deduct the cost from his final monies. As of today, this contractor isn't picking up my certified letter alto notices have been left for him.
Description of Work: House damaged by water and claim submitted to insurance company. Contractor understood that the work had to be completed by 12/7/11, date given by the insurance company. Was told "no problem"...will be done WAY before then. Work wasen't even started until that date! Contractor didn't return alot of my phone calls. This is an older home and the water damaged some of the guest bathroom. The cabinet that the blue colored sink set in couldn't be saved and was removed by the restoration company. The sink was placed in the garage to be put into a new cabinet. I told the contractor MANY times that the blue sink was to be placed back into the guest bathroom. The contractor took it upon himself to put a cabinet in there with a white sink....altho he had been instructed many times to use the blue sink. Charged me over $500 for this, alto the insurance company only allowed $148 for cabinet only. Also, the door to the guest bathroom doesn't close now as they didn't put a new stricker plate on the molding around the door. His excuse was "didn't have one that color". The contractor also lost the house key which cost me $150 to have the locks replaced into the house. Sadly, a family Arabian Musket Gun with a value of $400 was also stolen from my home. This contracting company was the last ones to be in my home.
