I was pleased with what they did. However, they did not show up at all the first day it was scheduled and did not call so I waited all day and they never came. They finally came a week later and were still late showing up. The owner only showed up to collect the check at the end of the day. Then we discovered they hauled all the trash down the street and dumped it in the woods near our neighborhood.

He was supposed to be here twice and he did not show up. There was a tree which had died and we called him, but he never came. They did a good job the previous year. He does a good job, but he is not a man on his words. He never showed up for the estimate this year. When I told him I was not happy with something, he came and changed it. He is expensive. When my driveway got washed away with the rain, they came and redid everything.

They did a bad job but they had good big decorative rocks. They had means of getting the rocks cheaper than other landscapers.

They were very, very good. They were in and out. It took 3 and a half days. We were extremely pleased. They could get the job done faster and quicker. They got us a quote and we got other quotes in the area. I liked the fact that he carried workman's comp on everybody and did drug testing. That meant a lot to us. They came in as the highest, but they weren't the lowest either. We were very pleased. We had no problems whatsoever. The price was middle of the road.

Landscaping, Tree Service
In May 2010 Village Landscape did a complete make-over of our front yard. At that time we pointed out a drainage problem and Brett Ray, owner of Village Landscape, assured us the problem would be solved. The job looked good until this Spring when the grass was greening up and Spring rains started. For the past 3-4 months we have had a virtual "mud hole" in this low spot, the grass has died and the drainage is non-existent. I called Brett Ray three times, twice not getting an answer and leaving messages. The one time I actually talked to him he assured me he would stop by and look at the problem. If he indeed did come by we are totally unaware of his visit and he did not call to discuss the problem.
Totally frustrated we called Steve White, the Director of Planning and Inspections, Hot Springs Village Property Owners Assn. He evidently called Brett Ray which prompted him to finally call us. During this call Mr. Ray stated that he had properly install the drainage system - and in the next breath said he would be willing to fix the problem for an additional $1,400. If there is no problem why would he be willing to fix it for a price? When my husband brought this to his attention he proceeded to tell him he was "a worthless piece of s*** and will soon die and go straight to h*** and burn forever". Quite a professional attitude wouldn't you agree.
Just this week our lawn service did the summer weed control/fertilizer application and the service man said we had a fungus and dying grass due to standing water. We haven't had a significant rainfall in about three weeks. We water the area three times a week and there certainly should not be "standing water" if there is proper drainage.
All we are asking is that the problem be corrected as originally promised and the ruined sod replaced. We paid Village Landscape $5,200 for this job originally and we are talking about a very small area - approximately 960 sq. ft. The rest of the job looks very nice and we are pleased with the appearance of it - but the lack of proper drainage in the low pot is a total mess.`
We would welcome anyone to come and look at our problem and see for themselves how bad it looks.
Thank you.

Response from Village Landscape Inc
"hello the is the wife of Brett Ray and just to let whoever know we finished this job with proper drainage and a beautiful yard , we came back 3 different times to work on sprinkler and lighting , we were then made aware 2 months later that there was a sign in the yard that stated "these weeds were purchased from Village Landscape and this yard is garbage" we then paid the lawn doctor to come take care of yard at our expence with no appology for the crappy sign or a thank you . six months later these customers the member again wanting free stuff how pathetic on their part shame on these people , for every one of these members there are a 100 customers that state that we are the very best at our proffesion ."
