He did such a good job of converting our garage into a den on a previous occasion that we decided to hire him to work on the bathrooms.  However, problems arose when he started on the second bathroom.  Specifically, I expressed concerns about his ability to complete the work before the holidays approached and suggested that he postpone the work.  He assured me, however, that he would have everything completed before that time, so I allowed him to proceed.  

Unfortunately, the house was without power for approximately three days which delayed the project.  What's frustrating is that we had a generator that he easily could have used to power his tools, but he declined to do so.  What's worse is that one day he just stopped coming to work and wouldn't return any of my phone calls to find out why.  He had also purchased the wrong kind of cabinetry which ended up being a complete waste of money.  Ultimately, this left us with an incomplete bathroom during the holidays, lots of headaches, and the need to hire another contractor to finish the job.
