DONNIE JONES ROOFING

Mr. Jones was contacted about repairing my roof because stains were showing up on my living room ceiling. He was prompt about responding to my call. He did not go up on the roof himself because of some leg/knee problems and said his helpers would be here within a few days to make the repairs. He determined from the appearence of the stains on the ceiling, that the leaks were coming from around the dormer. His helper came out, apparently applied silicone around the dormer. It rained several days later and more staining appeared. I called Mr. Jones and told him that the stains were worse. He sent out the helper again and he went up on the roof.....apparently applied more silicone. I wanted to wait until we had more rain to see if the problem was fixed. In the meantime, Mr. Jones was calling wanting payment for the work. I told him that the problem was not solved, but he demanded payment anyway and did not offer to come back out and resolve the problem. Because the staining continued to worsen, I contacted another roofer. After his personal inspection of the "repairs" done by Donnie Jones, I was informed that the method of application was poorly done resulting in further damage to my ceiling. Mr. Jones' response was that my roof "was just old" - this determined without him personally going up on the roof himself to inspect it. I called another roofing company and was told that my roof appeared to be about 8 years old.
My experience with Donnie Jones was very unsatisfactory and I will not use his roofing company again, nor will I recommend his company to anyone.

My mother recommended them because they did work for her earlier. I was very impressed with them. The husband-wife team came out (prompty) and gave me an exact bid. I was very comfortable talking to them. I didn't feel I was being "sold" something. When the roofers showed up they were on time and did a first class job. Most importantly, I felt peace of mind while the work was ongoing. They are probably not the cheapest but they're not the most expensive either. Don't buy on price alone! The Jonses are offering a craftsman like job at a reasonable price. You get their guarantee, also.
