I have had other insurance companies that only provided pleasant service as long as there were no claims. MetLife fortunatelty has been different. In the last two years, I have needed their help for a fender-bender auto and a hail-damaged roof claim. Their claims processing was extremely prompt, helpful, and generous. Most recently, our house was severely damaged by a water leak. Its a terrible thing to loose your home for several months, but again MetLife provided over-the-top helpful and generous service that made an unpleasant experience tolerable. If I pay them premiums for the rest of my life, it won't repay this claim, so I hope to help them by referring others for the excellent service they provide. Thank you Leah, Vanessa, and MetLife. My car is a 2014 Optima. The initial buying experience was riddled with mistakes, lies and to this day I strongly believe down right deceit. Very, with a big V, unprofessional. I talked to Mr. Fletcher?s right hand man at the time and was persuaded to give them another chance and was promised that things would be straighten out. The exact words were ?we can dwell on the past or move into the future?. I swore I?d never go back, but I did. My first oil change, free of charge, had almost as much oil on my car and its interior as in the engine itself. I picked it up filthy. No wash, no wipe off, no anything. Now with only 6600 miles on it, it?s in the shop because the key is stuck. I know the question, why back there? They did loan me a car, so I thought they may be trying again. Another new staff. But no one there knows yet how to fix it. Waiting on instructions from KIA corporate. Also, and I found this out myself, the car has been on a recall due to a steering defect which nobody at the dealership thought to bring to my attention. Why??? Kind of explains why it handles like its being driven on marbles. Very unstable and very spooky. So?do what ya want but I?m a real purchaser, not a former employee posting how d*** good they are when that particular poster doesn?t even drive one and hasn?t worked there in more than a year. It hasn?t been the greatest experience for me and purchasing a new car should be fun. Also, I?m very confident that my car will probably be filthy again when I pick it up. How many chances do you give before you wake up and move on to another dealership?

In the summer of 2012 my elderly mother finally accepted the fact that she could no longer live alone. Her husband had passed away 20 years ago, she had outlived her friends, family and all but one of her children, me. My mother had been living in southern Oregon for 57 years, I have been in south Texas for 43 years. After bringing my mother here and getting her settled in, my wife returned to Oregon to over see an estate sale and try to get the house ready for sale. With limited vacation time my wife entrusted a younger couple to clean up the house, garage, and yard and make any of the necessary repairs. The couple performed a considerable amount of work cleaning the neglected yard and a large garage that packed with 50 years of clutter but had some kind of falling out before they were able to get more that half way through the job. A year had passed and having used all of my vacation and FLMA time, I had only one option, and that was to sell the house as is, where is and take what ever it would bring. Not knowing anyone in the very small town my mother lived in that could recommend a realtor and after dealing with my mothers legal affairs there, I was convinced there wasn?t a competent person within a thousand miles. So, I requested an endorsed local provider from Dave Ramsey?s web site. Also having dealt with some very shoddy realtors in the past, I was skeptical of the reference to Kelley Forney. After a phone conversation and explanation of my situation and not being able to finish the make ready of the house, Mr. Forney agreed to evaluate the property for me. I had keys made and sent to him. Kelley got back to me promptly and advised me that if I would hire him to sell the house, he could get at least $20000 more for it if I allowed him to handle the repairs. It sounded almost too good to be true but it was worth a try. Mr Forney was able to contract multiple repairs, services and inspections with only a minimal cash outlay. The cost of the repairs came out of the total at closing and I was shocked at the reasonable cost! He also gave me frequent updates and pictures of the progress; his timeline was very short but very precise. In summary, Mr. Kelley Forney took on the task of a minor renovation, handling all paperwork, permits, payments, and legalities in a very professional manner from 3000 miles away from me. I would have been stressed and haggard even attempting such a feat! He not only sold the house for what he said he could, it was sold as soon as it was ready, and it was ready exactly when he said it would be. There were no surprises except mine! My apologies to Mr. Kelley Forney for the lateness of this acknowledgement, I did not receive a request from Dave Ramsey.

Vercontaire became the general who managed the remodel of our 20-year old master bed and bath suite. This was a complete remodel as everything was stripped down to concrete and drywall. Painting work was generally good. However, his son failed to let caulking around ceiling beam dry before priming and painting. He didn't prime and simply painted over the wet caulking. As a result, the paint and popcorn texture now comes off in patches, landing on the bed, floor, shower, wherever. He improperly installed our new bathroom fixtures, which later resulted in the faucet stem breaking, requiring additional work. The real problem came with the Bruce hardwood flooring that he installed in the bedroom. In spite of our asking about the padding that Bruce requires before installing the \"floating\" wood planks (Joe Vercontaire's response: \"naw, I've never done that; it will be alright\"), Mr. Vercontaire proceeded to glue the hardwood planks directly to the concrete slab. As a result, the flooring now \"pops\" and \"cracks\" when walking on it. We had Home Depot Flooring experts come out later to look at the floor (where we had purchased the materials). They confirmed that the floor had been improperly installed and that our only remedy would be to completely rip up and replace. So we learned a very expensive and valuable lesson. NEVER let Mr. Vercontaire anywhere near hardwood flooring and, if you do use his services, watch everything like a hawk."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/allen/vercontaire-and-sons-home-improvements-specialist-reviews-497744.htm"},"position":6}]}

FAQs for real estate service projects in Holiday Island, AR
Yes, hiring a real estate agent is worth it. Many homeowners make the mistake of trying to sell their homes by themselves, thinking that they’ll save money on the commission, but what they save on the commission, they very often pay for in frustration and concessions on the sale price. Hiring a real estate agent to handle the sale of your home not only makes the process far easier and takes the burden off of you, but most homeowners get more for their homes when going through an agent because of the marketing and salesmanship they bring to the table.
Real estate agents work on commission, so the cost of hiring an agent will depend on the cost of the home you’re buying or selling. The listing contract should include information about the commission for both agents, which is usually 6 percent of the sale price in total or 3 percent per side. With an average national home value of around $440,000, the typical commission per agent is $13,200. However, you won’t pay this total out of pocket. Instead, the commission comes out of the sale price of the property.
Interviewing real estate agents is the best way to find the right person for the job. Consider asking the following questions to find the best agent for you:
How will you show my property?
Will you do open houses to market my home?
How will you handle dual agency (representing the buyer and you as the seller)?
Should I make repairs to my home before listing?
Will you get professional photos taken of my home?
What is the best price you think we can get for my property?
How long do you expect the sale to take?
You don’t legally need a real estate agent as a buyer, as you can represent yourself, but you should always hire an agent as a home buyer. A professional real estate agent will have access to local MLS services to find homes that meet your criteria and needs, can connect you with other professionals—like a mortgage broker and real estate attorney—you’ll need for the purchase, and can often negotiate a better price for your home to help save you money. Plus, as the buyer, your agent’s commission comes from the seller’s proceeds from the sale of the home.
