ACE Hardware Corporation

Their commercial says, "Ace the Helpful Place," however the store in Greenwood, AR was far from that.
My husband & I went into the store looking for a piece to repair our sink. We searched for it ourselves, and then looked for assistance after we cound not locate it. There was no one to be found in the department, so they paged someone for us. When the man came, he started to talk with another older man he knew and began to assist/chat with him. After two more pages over the intercom for assistance and 20 min. later, I went back to the front of the store and asked to speak to a manager. They had to page the manager twice, and then he finally came out of the office with a female employee. I believe his name was Steve. I told him I had been waiting for over 20 minutes, and no one has come to help me after numerous pages over the loud speaker. He just looked at me and said "sorry, we are just busy." He walked with me back to the department where he interrupted the older talkative man's conversation to ask him to assist us. Finally, we were helped.
Unfortunately, they were not as busy as the manager tried to make them, so I rate them an "F" for Punctuality & Responsiveness. While waiting for help, we saw two employees talking among themselves walking in the opposite direction(towards the lumber area). The cashier had a short line(they even changed cashiers, while I was waiting). Other than the short line at the register, there was literally maybe five other people in the store at the time. I rate them a "D" in Professionalism, because the manager did mutter a half-hearted apology. Overall, we felt disregarded and totally ignored as a customer. It was horrible service, and I do not plan to return to this store.
