I was concerned when I came home from work after the first day because there was still a dip in the back of the roof (Mr Iberg had previously said he would smooth that all out). The overall appearance of the first days work was a mess and concerning. I wrote a list of things I was concerned about and left that with the tools that had been left outside all around the house. On Friday the crew returned and saw my list and continued their work (it was extremely hot and I had told them it was fine with me if they came back when it cooled off - they said they had to make a living). I brought a coworker with me on Friday afternoon from my work so he could see my roof and we were concerned with the overall appearance but especially that the "trim" was extended out in the air past old shingles that had not been removed from the house. Mr. Iberg said they would return to finish and did on Monday 8/16. I had left a list of concerns including the trimming etc .. when I got home from work Tracy Mann was on the roof attempting to "trim" the roofing job - it looked terrible!!!! At that point I knew there was no point in asking them to fix anything else so like an IDIOT I pd. them. I made the check out to Craig Iberg who said "could you do me a favor and make it out to Tracy, we use his bank account". DUH FOR ME AGAIN !!!!! After this crew left, I went outside and took numerous pictures of the trim job- it was AWFUL !! Nothing is even, nothing even attempts to line up or look nice - it is buckled and crunched and bowed in and out and some is attached to the house and some not. I asked them to put end caps on the ridge covers for example ... instead they squished the ends together and tried to hide it behind the pathetic trim work. I immediately called the same home inspector who had originally inspected my house when I purchased it and he came later that evening and took pics from a ladder - the horror was even worse than I expected !! There is exposed wood, big holes in the metal with no screws in it, just hanging around .. supposed to be attached to the house but jutting out or sitting there - even left cigarette butts and trash on the roof which after the rain, is all around my house now ... the pictures are sickening. Truly ... the pictures have made me sick but especially the fact that I paid these clowns $6500.00 to screw up my roof that will have to be redone as soon as I can afford it, whenever that will be. I have contacted the City of Sherwood who said these guys did not have a permit. I have contacted the Contractor's Licensing Board who say they have no license. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau who is investigating right now. These guys are BAD NEWS !!!!! Before you use these guys, contact me and ask for pictures of my roof. It is heartbreaking !!!! HEARTBREAKING ! I have the pictures and the roof to prove it. I have had people come to look at my roof and give me opinions and the one I hear first is "that is the worse roofing job I have ever seen" ... that would be the same opinion as the one from the home inspector. It is a nightmare. I researched C. Iberg and found a lawsuit settled apparently in 2008 where he had attempted to build a house for a woman which resulted in disaster ... apparently he admitted to the judge he "didn't know enough about it" ... well, hindsight is 20/20 ... don't let these guys ruin YOUR house - be forewarned !
Description of Work: Tracy Mann and Craig Iberg and crew came to my house on Thursday, August 12, 2010 and started putting a metal roof on my house.
