Came out and looked at AC system that was not cooling and was icing up.
Took a reading and said that the system was low on freon. Asking if that
was because there was a leak somewhere. He stated that there was but
since the system still had freon he could not find it immediately. Said
he would put in freon and a coloring agent that should last the summer
and next spring to call and he would come out and should be able to find
it then. Did not pressure into doing anything else. Was prompt and came
out the same day.

Work was done in a professional manner in exactly the estimated time frame and cost. One minor issue required a return visit for service and work was done promptly.

If I ever had a problem he would come back and fix it. It was usually a problem with the manufacturer and not his fault, he always did really good work. He is a little bit higher priced than people but he uses the best equipment out there.

June 25, 2011 my central air conditioner quit cooling, this was a Saturday evening when it failed and the temps have been in the 90's over the past month. The following Monday or Tuesday I called H and K Heating and Air, since they had installed this unit in the fall of 2006-which means it's been used four season.
Jeff came on Tuesday or Wednesday and checked the unit and told me it was the compressor and they would have to order a new one and would call me when it came it.
Thursday evening, Wes called me and scheduled an appointment to replace the compressor for the next day, Friday, July 1 at 11:00. Around 2:30pm on Friday, Wes called to let me know he didn't have my phone number with him on his first call to let me know he was running late and did I still want him to come today. Since it's been 90 degrees in my house for a week, I said yes. He got there a little around 2:40 pm and starting draining the freon on the unit to be reused and told me they had another service call here in town they were going to make while the freon was draining and I said ok. They came back about a half hour later, swapped compressors and charge the unit with freon and brought me a bill that totaled $513.82. They left before 4 pm. The ticket number 8002 shows labor costs are $45 an hour and service call is $65. The charge for the 25 - 45 minutes of labor at my house was $410.76 plus the $65 for service call, that I assume was also charged to the other party in town being serviced on this one trip. When I commented about the high cost, Wes commented I was lucky the compressor was under warranty or it would have been a lot more.
So much for loyalty and customer service.
