We should have checked out this guy better; he was in over his head. It took twice as long and there were many mistakes on the interior work. When I refused to pay for the same job to be done a third time, he walked off the job. we did not get a firm contract from him in writing which we should have done. The new people who finished the job were astounded at the mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes was the wiring of the new electricity. It did not meet city code requirements and had to be corrected. This was very expensive. The ceilings had to be redone. The new walls were not plum. Because of all the wiring mistakes, new holes had to be cut and then repaired. The people that helped us out of this nightmare were great. I also discovered that I was charged a higher hourly rate than Mr. Whitney of W & W Construction actually paid his workers. He was dishonest with me on several occasions.
Description of Work: tore off back of house with flat roof. Added more square footage and built back. made a lot of mistakes. Most of his crew were relatives and not very skilled
