Thompson Mack & Son Signs

We had a terrible experience with Mack Thompson and Sons. It took them weeks and multiple contacts to get an estimate for a sign (which should have been a tip off). I finally got an estimate and asked them to start work. I had to chase them over and over again to get the actual sign (promised by beginning of December) and it was finally delivered six weeks later. They promised me a banner in the meantime but kept delaying the production of the banner until my contractor went there and refused to leave until the printed the banner. When they finally installed the sign, it was several feet lower than I asked and they refused to move it since they had already poked holes through the roof. They showed up during lunch hour (we are a restaurant), blocked the door, and their installer sat up on the roof smoking. When I called to complain about the installation, Mrs. Thompson screamed at me on the phone which was followed by months of trying to get them to reinstall the signs and having Mrs. Thompson scream at me over the phone, call me names, and threaten my staff. I've never had such a bad experience in business. I ended up paying them in full for the sign because they threatened a lawsuit if I didn't pay. I would have preferred a lawsuit but it would have cost me more than the final balance to fight them.
