In July of 2012, my mother suffered a massive stroke. Upon bringing her home from the hospital to begin her recovery, our air conditioner began acting up. The fan would just stop turning. Not knowing any professionals in the area except Rick (he did some previous wiring for me in 2011 right after we bought our house), I called him and asked him if he could refer me to someone. He came out right away and took a look at my a/c unit. He determined that the fan on the outside unit was going out and most likely the capacitor, as well. He told me that it was a simple and relatively inexpensive fix. He advised me to change the capacitor first, it was only a $30 dollar part, and could get me by for a couple of weeks until I could afford the $120 fan unit. He said that he would even install the parts for me at NO charge. As my mother lay in her hospital bed in our dining room, hooked up machines - I worried for her well being. It was over 85 degrees inside, Unknown to Rick, I had been robbed while I was with my mother at the hospital. The thief had taken the last bit of money I had - being on a fixed income I knew it would be over two weeks before I could afford even a $30 part. With all the stress of the events unfolding - tears began to roll down my face. My only concern was for my mother and how the growing heat would affect her health. I thanked him for coming out and turned to walk back inside. Back into the sweltering heat of my home. Rick placed his hand on my shoulder, reached into HIS OWN pocket and pulled out a $50 dollar bill. He placed the bill in my hand, and told me that he would not be a good Christian man if he did not help those in need. Well, there was no stopping the tears now. I hugged his neck and cried tears of relief. He hugged me back, and told me not to worry, that God was watching over me - as I watched over my mother. I thanked him over and over. My husband went to the store Rick suggested and purchased the capacitor that day. It went in very easy, and IT did fix out unit (temporarily - until we got the fan the next month). I have never experienced the kindness, generosity and professional knowledge that Rick exudes on every visit. He has done several small jobs since AND will ALWAYS be MY ELECTRICIAN. Later this year, we are planning on upgrading our incoming power amperage to our home AND doing an almost total re-wire of our home. Rick is the ONLY person I would ever consider calling.
