It went great. Tim came and gave an estimate and his crew did an excellent job of the installation.

The laborers set cracked tiles in backsplash. Thank goodness I caught it before they were grouted! Also, they agreed to install T moldings between the tile and hardwood floor. They did not have any glue, so they left it unfinished. I called Tim about the moldings, and he started huffing and puffing. He would not come back unless we paid him $25. He even tacked on the $5 for glue! Later that night, he called to tell me I needed to add another $65 to the bill. He said 18" tile cost more, and he bid it wrong bc my husband said we were using 12" tile. BIG LIE! We had the larger tile selected many weeks prior to his bid! I knew he was trying to nickel and dime me to pay for his guys to put in the moldings. I told him I purchased the grout (which was in his bid) for $40 and I never tried to get him to take it off the bill. In short, Tim did not deliver what he promised and tried to squeeze every cent out of me he could. He needs to learn customer service, especially when he makes a mistake.
Response from TIM THE TILE MAN
"This customer NEVER made herself available to me during the entire communication process until a final call when I was ready to collect for the project. The only way I had to make contact with either of them from the beginning was to leave a message on HER phone, then she was to have HIM return my call. I met with her husband prior to the work being done. We discussed options which included a higher price for the installation of the larger tiles. He apparently forgot or did not admit this price difference to (Member name removed) and then she subsequently accused me of trying to "nickle and dime them to death." I wrote an apology for the misunderstanding to her on a note she had left me (still no face to face contact) at which point I agreed to accept the lesser amount as full payment. As for the "workers that I left at the job:" They are extremely skilled installers that have been with me for over ten years. Their talents in our field exceed those of most everybody in NWA. They are the "best of the best.""

They were just highly recommended by the realtors in the area 'cause he does a lot of work in remodeling and he's been around for a long, we actually used him 15 years ago when we first moved in and he definitely knows what he's doing and he has a team with him, workers that work really hard to do their job and their price was okay, it was on the high side but it's inexpensive and it was good.

1st day Tim came out and looked at what I wanted done. 2nd day his crew came out and removed and replaced tile around my wood stove. 3rd day they came back and grouted tile and cleaned up. Beautiful job!

My kitchen and entryway tile floors had some loose tiles and a few
cracks. Not a big deal, but a neuiscance. I had contacted a couple of
large contractors, but none seemed interested in a small job I found Tim
and gave him a call and he agreed to come and take a look. Gave me an
estimate and repaired the problem the next day. They removed the broken
tiles and replaced them along with necessary grout and underlayment The
job was completed in a timely manner and to my complete satisfaction...
The key factor here is that Tim showed up when he said he would and
returned the next day to perform the work. This is a rare quality these days...
His associate workman was
very professional and personable. He set about the work immediately and
completed it in reasonable time, cleaning up behind himself. They did an
amazing job of matching the grout and tile colors. One could hardly tell
there had been any changes made. The charges were very reasonable
as well..
I would have no reservations in recommending Tim and his crew for any job.
I reviewed a portfolio of their previous jobs and the work is exceptional. When
I find someone who shows up on time, completes the work in a timely manner
and charges a reasonable fee, I stick with them...

The crew came on Wednesday and took out the bottom of the my shower. They had to use a jackhammer to take out the concrete that was previously installed. They poured some concrete on the first day. On the second day, they came and poured the seat and the floor. They also installed some of the tile. On the third day, they finished laying all of the tile and grouted everything. They also re installed our door, but since the door was broken, they let us know and took it down. The overall work was great and I am thankful that everything was installed properly.

Great experience! Tim came and gave an estimate, even showing up when he was scheduled (that's remarkable for most tradespeople). The job wasn't very big, but Tim didn't balk. Came out and did the job beautifully, taking the time to arrange the tiles for the best appearance, even though it's only a closet! I would highly recommend TIm.

Time came out the same day I called him. Price quote was very fair so I authorized the work. Tim was out promptly the next morning and completed the concrete work. The next morning he came out and laid the tile. He did a superb job and I highly recommend him!
