Kc Cassady Firehouse Fence

We hired KC Cassady's Firehouse Fence company to do some work in this order: 1: move two buildings, 2: install an above ground pool, 3: take off the back brick from the storm cellar and rebrick it 4: build a fence. He said we would have to pay $1100 cash up front. We agreed. At first he was just going to do the fence. We had already hired a company to do the pool. He ask me who was doing it, and I told him. You will never believe what he did next. He came over the next day to do some measuring and said, "I called the pool company to see when they were doing the pool so I would know when I could do the fence. She said they were not doing it." I said, "Yes, they are. They are supposed to be here tomorrow to move the buildings, and then they said they would put the pool in within two weeks after it arrived." I never believed what he told me, but they never showed up to do anything, so I figured I had upset the lady somehow. I told KC, "I wonder what I did to make them change their mind about doing the work." He said, "I do not know, but you sure made her mad I guess." He then said, "No worries. We can install your pool too, piece of cake." That is how he got the job to do the pool as well. I was unaware of it at that time, but after KC screwed us around so badly, I filed disputes and posted his work on Craigslist for while, I got a call from the pool company we had intended to use in the first place. She told me to remove her name from Craigslist. She said, "We had nothing to do with what he did to you and we do not want our name associated with him in any way." She went on to say, "After all, we would have installed your pool if your son had not called me up and cussed me out." I said, "My son did not even know I had hired you. He never called you." So...she said, "Well, I will definitely know that voice, so she came over t the house and met my son. He told her he never called and she said, "Yes, I can tell. It was not your voice." That is when I put two and two together and finally got 4. KC Cassady, the owner of Firehouse Fence, had deliberately called them and made them mad so they would cancel and he could get the job. Talk about balls, he has some. When it came time to do the work, he said he would have to have it all up front since a credit card was being used. He got the money, and then never did anything right. I am posting pictures of the job they did hoping no one else will get stung like I did. After I filed a dispute, I learned from my cc bank that he had ran the project through a beauty shop account. I could not believe it. I finally, after searching, found the beauty shop owner and called her. She returned my call. She was crying and I felt sorry for her. She said her gas had been turned off, and KC never had any way to charge my job, so he turned her gas on and she let him use her square. He told her he had completed the work and I had signed off on it. I did agree to him using my credit card, but he was supposed to have done the work. I felt for the lady because she had 5 children and when I filed dispute, she could not use her square to make money at her business. KC Cassady Firehouse Fence hired two guys to help. One looked to be about 16 or 17 and the other looked to be about 20. Neither of them knew what they were doing. Between both of the boys, and KC, they might have spent 8 hours here, which most of that was just lollygagging around instead of working. He just left them here to do it instead of being here overseeing their work or helping them. I had a nice wall around my storm cellar and he tore it to smithereens and left it that way. He was supposed to have thrown the gravel inside the wall on a tarp; instead he threw it in the pool area. I was told by several contractors that it would rip the liner. They never started when they said they would and then they waited until after noon to ever show except one day they came about 9:00. KC only came out once after he got paid. I called him to see where he was and he said, "I have a life. I am at the gym working out." He conned my son into moving the building the buildings for him and then never paid him. My son had never moved a building but he managed to get it done. A 10-year-old child could have built a better fence than they did. Some of the boards only had one nail in them, some had two or three. All the nails were coming out from the strings and some were just pounded through the picket and never even hit the stringer. They were sticking out in thin air. The fence was an eyesore and had to be taken down. Look at the photos posted and you will see why. He just hung around long enough to get the money from the credit card and then he left. Everything they did except for a couple of panels of fencing had to be taken out and redone. They never did the foundation of the pool correctly so we started arguing from the start. I can understand why it was not installed correctly. They walked out before they installed the wall. They had opened it and took it out of the box and left it standing by my front door. The pool was a 15 x 26 pool. It took three people to do when I FINALLY got it done, and KC Cassady Firehouse Fence had one person installing it. He told me the had installed 30 pools this year for al company in Farmington. Come to find out, he never installed a pool at all. He did cleanup work for the company. When we found someone else to do the pool, we realized they had cut the wall when opening the box. Thank God it never went all the way through the pool. On top of all this, KC Cassady came back after he walked out and stole some of my materials on top of going to Lowes and charging another $1790. He had already charged $1933 with my permission. I got that cancelled, but I was not aware he had done this because I was busy dealing with the $4313.00 he put on my other credit card. The money was reimbursed to my Visa credit card and the $1933 was partly reimbursed at Lowes, but I just noticed the $1790 when I went in to pay my bill this month. The balance was much higher so I pulled up the statement and could not believe he had done it again. He got all the money though and then changed his number and then skipped town like the coward he is. I just hope people will see this and not hire him unless they get the work done before they pay him. Between what he came back and stole, cash paid to him, and money he got from credit cards, he stole over $10000.00. And he got away with it. So would I recommend him? Not no but H--- no. He is a scam artist! I received a phone call from John Mylly in Oklahoma that he done him the same way after I posted his work on some more places on the Internet. I cannot say for sure that is true, but I do believe it is since he did what he did to me. Do not hire this man to build you a fence, pool, or deck. He does not know how to do anything but lie and steal. If you do hire him, get the work done before you pay, and NEVER pay him with a credit card. He keeps the numbers and runs more when he needs money. He ran the $1790 after he walked out. He ran the part of the Visa credit card amount after he walked out.
